As an avid homebrewer we collect almost anything that has to do with beer.  My latest are t-shirts with:

 Beauty is in the hand of the beer holder;

Don t eat yellow snow, don t drink yellow beer.

 And club shirts from

 Grain Damage (obvious)
Pacific Gravity (a play on Specific Gravity which we use to measue alcohol potential in beer)
Maltose Falcons (maltose is a sugar complex in beer)

and one more cool one I can t think of right now.

Man, I m going to HAVE to start drinking beer!

SurfcalJust so G-Whiz doesn t feel completely left out.

DO... the stuff... that buys me wine...
RAY... the guy that sells me wine...
ME... the guy... who drinks the wine,
FAR... a long way to get wine...
SO... I ll have another wine...
LA... I ll have another wine...
TEA... no thanks, I m drinking wine...
That will bring us back to... (Looks into an empty glass) D OH!

Campfire leader: OK, all together now...

But, as I am certain that the beer drinkers in the group know, G-Whiz does have the perfect name to a beer drinker.

SurfcalCampfire leader:  G- I am glad you brought that along, because our next campfire song will be perfect for this Polka classic.  Now, here s a quick lesson for you boys and girls.  Sometimes you might look at the adults and wonder, " why do they drink so much beer."   Well boys and girls, this song tells you all about it and how we really should respect all those beer drinkers.

In heaven, there is no beer.
That s why we drink it down here.
And when we re gone from here,
Our friends will be drinking all the beer

Campfire leader:  See?  Now you know why most adults drink lots of beer.  Because they can t take it with them.

P.S.  I haven t gone crazy.  " Why is he posting again all of a sudden,"  you ask?  No, I m just being myself.

Well, believe or not, I took the day of because I had to do laundry and I didn t want doing laundry to encroach into my weekend.  Sooo, like Popeye said, " I can t stance it no more."   I have to do boatloads of laundry.

Sounds like you cleaned up today.

You got that one right, Scott.  Ray is back to his ole self and I for one am glad to see it.
Work has not dulled the ole spirit at all.

AB:  I did miss the seafood offer... and am not finding it!  There has been a lot of drinking going on between then and now.
Could I ask you to repeat the question before I second the motion?

otterWeeeeell.... while I don t mind camping with Ray in the midst of a large group of people, I think I ll pass on that winter vacation with him at that deserted hotel up in the mountains. I m just glad his handle isn t " Happy Jack" . [;)]  (J.K.--- You *do* know I d go anywhere, face any foe, and fight any battle by your side, right? I got your back, Bro.)

Dianne, the question was if anybody else liked steamed mussels. It s a couple pages back. Cuz if so, I ll see about getting us a bunch of the tasty little critters for Saturday night. With all this beer talk, we re gunna need *something* to help fill our stomachs and lower our B.A.L.... And no, that doesn t stand for a certain type of trailer leveling device. [:o]

Hey everybody--- IT S FRIDAY!!!  (turn volume up, insert Flintstones theme music, blow the end-of-day work whistle, and add a hearty Yaba-Daba-Doo!)

 Have a great weekend!

Thanks for repeating the offer.  I m not a shell fish eater and Lon is atad worried about mussels at this time of year.  So we will pass on the tasty little critters.
Are we going to pot luck on Saturday night?  I m trying to think of something other than the potstickers since they would not make it from thrusday to Saturday too well.  but I promise something yummy.  Maybe in the dessert department.  I m wanting to try some fondue-ing...and this might just be the time to experiment.
hmmm will have to think on that one.

Have a great weekend everyone.  We are playing all weekend but not camping!

QuoteThe Mendocino Brewing Co. is in Ukiah (tasting room in Hopland). And the Anderson Valley Brewing Co. in Boonville-- their company mascot is the very rare, but legendary, " Antlered Grizzly" .

 Ab Diver,

The much " revered"  Mendocino Brewing Company s famous logo is NOT a " grizzley bear with antlers" .  It is in fact ... an extremely rare cross between a California Black Bear and a Whitetail Deer.  Very rarely seen, this anomoly of the region is know to locals as a " BEER" .  It is understood that only locals " pure of heart and thought"  shall gaze upon the creature s greatness.  All others shall endure meager imitiations.

QuoteIt is understood that only locals " pure of heart and thought"  shall gaze upon the creature s greatness.

About 30 years ago while trying to find a hotel in the area that would allow a dog, we were wondering around that area making  occasional stops to clean up after the vomiting kids and dog, AND upon coming out of the ladies room at rest stop....there in the undrebrush was the BEER.
Oh! yes!  I am pure of heart.
