From what I can figure in the approximately 118 days that PUT has been in " subscription mode"  there have been 26233 posts (okay 26234 with this one).  That comes out to an average of over 222 posts every 24 hours.  Considering that mosts of the posts are probably done in a 4-6 hour period of time during the day (before work and after work for most) one can not neccessarily call the board " dead" .  I also noticed that PUT has been averaging about 21 new topics in a 24 hour time period.  Thats close to being a new topic every hour and twenty minutes.  Again considering that most of those new topics are actually made during a 4-6 hour time period during the day, that is not too bad!  I have looked at the other sites and it looks as if PUT is right up there if not ahead of them in postings.  One of the other popular sites (the one with the " X"  at the end), does claim more members ( abot 1 1/2 X s more) and has been up about as long as the new PUT has been, but only has nearly half the amount of postings that PUT has (14722 compared to 26234).  So...compared to the other sites, this place is lively!
 
 I would like to think that this board is drawing a smarter clientel that searches for answers on the board before they ask a question that has been asked 100 s of times before thus cutting down on the chatter.  I would also like to think that we are so busy getting ready to go camping that we don t have time to check the boards as often!

Has anyone seen a Titleist 2 around here?  Just coming out of the woods[].  This message board is my get away after work.  To be able to just relax and think about past and future camping trips.  It is nice to hear about other peoples adventures and SPUT s so I know I m not the only one who does stuff like that.[]  Ahh... there s my ball right in the beach.  Now which way to the hole?  Back into the woods I go.[8D][8D]

I ran out of beer and have been looking for more.  Actually...between work (6 days a week including 2 evenings), and dodging tornados this past couple of weeks, just don t have a lot of spare time on my hands anymore.  We were looking forward to the Iowa trip this weekend too.  Haven t even had the PU openned up once this year...let alone gone camping.  Oh well..there s always the Branson trip in June.

Good to see a post from RNRD.  Your humor has always been enjoyed by this poster.....  I think if we want to " blame"  someone for a perceived lack of posting activitiy that we all need to look at ourselves.  We are the members and Arvee is just the meeting place.  We are the ones who need to make the most of this site.  All the newer and older....um, I mean all the rookie and experienced....um, how about the newbies and olbies.... what I mean to say is that we can all let it loose every once in a while and enjoy this place called Arvee and post more often the subjects / jokes / stories / etc that we find interesting to ourselves.  This is only going to be as good as YOU AND I make it.

I have not been a heavy poster, but a frequent reader.  Few times we posted did not generate much conversation plus always seemed you could depend on someone else to have a more knowledgeable answer.
 
 Honestly...I begin to the feel the crowd was a little more Eastern and maybe a Midwesterner didn t quite fit in...so I just started posting less and reading more.  Figured folks were not into an  aw shucks  type of reply.
 
 Don t get me wrong, I enjoyed the knowledgeable answers and they have been a huge help!  We have a whole list of fixes on our Bayside that resulted from tips at this board.
 
 I think the season and status of different RV products has more to do with the number of posts.  PUT is still a great board if you are into PU camping.

 I know that Birol and Whippetwrun (always miss that  w  which is why I call her by her name usually), and apparently many others want to claim to be thread killers, now come on, that s me!  Check out the number of last replies by wynot.  I get on, express my sometimes too  frank  opinion and the thread goes kaput.  You can tell when it is DW and when it is me - DW is the nice one!  I state my opinion and keep right on truckin .
 
 There is another Popup board out there which appears to be in death throes right now - I wish somebody would post there, but I think that folks are just waiting to comment on someone else s thread, and no one s posting those.
 
 I will tell everyone this, I go through modes where I don t post for days (gives everyone a welcome break!) and then I will post 20 times in a day.  At the beginning of this year, I didn t see a lot of posts that I wanted to respond to, and quite frankly, I had been a little put off by the extremely vocal criticism of Dave & crew s decision to charge for the site.  Everyone has a right to their opinion, but in that particular situation, people could vote with their bank account, so all I had seen for 4 months seemed to be commentary on that.
