SuezyqueSometimes it s difficult to be a good parent. I ve never been in your situation so I don t know exactly what you re going through but I have had to watch my child endure severe pain. I know what it s like to feel helpless and it s very frustrating but like us, you turned to experts to offer the help that you couldn t give.  I had a friend in college whose family didn t help unfortunately[:(]. You did the right thing.

SuezyqueMany years ago I directed a teenage program in a psychariatric hospital. The majority of time, there was a marked and very positive outcome from day one till the discharge date. Many teens would continue in some form of ongoing outpatient therapy.

The majority of them were very grateful they got professional help. Many times, it was not the teen but a very powerful outside influence that was creating the problem. The staff can help to identify the real problems and then develop a plan for treatment. It is also very difficult for a teen to have some ill-defined " psychariatric"  problem. Being with other teens who also have problems can bring back a sense of normalcy that will reestablish a baseline before treatment can begin.

But no healer is greater than our Lord. I will remember you and you daughter in my prayers.
