I just recently got into scrapbooking - like last week - and I started a camping book, and was just wondering if anyone else has one and would like to share layout ideas.

ambrosiaWe put ours in a digital format and then I burn them onto a CD-RW that our DVD player can play on the TV..... It looks like a slide show and brings back memories....

ambrosiaI only do webshots and back them up on to a cd.

ambrosiaBurning them t a CD sounds like a neat idea! Do you use any special program to create the slideshow on CD?
I have a couple different programs that I think would do it, but I ve never actually tried it!

Nero will do it or if you want to try a free program try VCD easy.  sorry I don t have the web site but you can do a search.

I use DVD photo play www.v-com.com   put most of wedding pictures with backround music on cd which will play on tv or computer.

ambrosiaI also put mine a DVD.  You can add background music, your own narration and different texts.  The slide show is really cool because I can make copies and send them to my family.

ambrosiayup, I do.  If you want to see some pages I ve done email me and I can either scan them or try taking pics w/ my digital ( much faster, lol) and see if the digi s will come out for ya enough to see the layouts. Creative Memories has a great camping pkg of stickers, die cuts, etc. Also AC Moores and Michaels  craft stores have nice camping ones to

ambrosiaI do, I do!  I ve been scrapbooking since my first son was born and I have lots of camping layouts. I m happy to share - just email me and I can take some digital pics for you.  I never thought about making an album just for camping....hmmmmm.....

ambrosiaI just started scrapbooking in October.  My very first album was our camping album.  It goes back to when we bought our first trailer in 2000.  It is alot of fun to do and I can t wait to start adding the pictures from this year s trips.  I have gotten a lot of my ideas from creative memories and other books I have seen.

ambrosiame, too.  started a few months ago -  highly addictive and VERY time consuming.

perhaps the " scrappers"  could find somewhere to post their photos so we can all see them.

I started an album for the singles camping group I formed last year...it is sooooo funny because BS photos are just stuck there; whereas I got more create AS.

Michael s has a bunch of pages that have designs and you just cut the photos and place them in the pre-selected spot.  Good for beginners.  For example, one page has five (?) big flowers.  All you do is cut your photo in a circle and stick it in the flower circle.

ambrosiaI m always working on an album of pictures.  I like to create and cut out my own little designs to stick in there.  The store bought stickers and designs are nice, but I have a lot more fun making my own...Plus, I m very artistic!![:)]

Unfortunately, it can take me an entire weekend to just do 2 pages.  I keep most of my pictures in a plastic container and when  I get in the mood to work on it, I just get that out along with my album and the other container which has my markers, colored pencils, stencils, colored paper...etc in  it.  Because it takes me so long to do a couple pages, I don t get things done as quickly as I d like.  I guess you could say its ALWAYS an ongoing project[:D]  When people want to see my album, I usually just show them what I ve already done.

I don t have a seperate album just for camping either.  I usually mix and match different events in one album.  When the book is open and each set of two pages are facing you....they usually have a different " group"  of pictures for each.  I might have a clinic I attended with my horse  on one set, then you turn the page and I have my niece s birthday on another set, then you turn the page and I will have a weekend of camping at one particular place with my family on another set...  I think this makes the book more interesting rather than looking at an entire album of pictures for one thing (i.e. camping, horses, family functions).  If someone has a different album for each event....well then.....I guess they re just more organized than me[;)][:D]

I find this is a great winter project when its freezing outside and you can t do much else.  The only bad thing about it is that I start looking at my camping pictures and start to long for the summer months[>:][&:][:@]

ambrosiaWell, I am glad to see that there are actually some scrappers out there, with all the digital photo talk, I was beginning to wonder!

I am totally into this scrapbooking thing now, my mind is constantly drifting back to it, kinda like it does to camping about 1-2 weeks before we are set to go.

I cant imagine how confused I am going to be in antoher week, sine we have a big trip planned on May30-June 1st SETPUCC (camping club)!  Between camping and scrappin, I may have no room in my brain for work!!

I actually decided to become a creative memories consultant too, basically to get the discount on my supplies, and I really like alot of the stuff they offer - the custom cutting tools are way cool!   If I just happen to make a profit, then Yeah Me!
