Hey Scott,

Our sink leaks something awful.  Didn't you replace the plastic parts with real sink parts?  Do you recall off hand what parts are needed?  Do you possibly have pictures of your fix?  Anyone else make ths repair?  Maybe we can take a gander under your sink at Santa Paula?  Dave wants to fix this problem asap so he won't have to listen anymore to me complaining about everything being wet under the sink.  ;)

Lori--absolutely right.

I went to Home Depot and replaced:

the faucet
the drain
the flexible hot and cold water lines

with metal parts.  It was all standard plumbing.  Only boo boo I made was getting a facet that had a HIGH faucet piece that I thought would be nice for rinsing dishes.  Turned out that it was TOO HIGH and the LIFT BAR on the cabinet wouldn't go over the top of it when lowering the cabinet.

I removed the sink to do the work...that requires removing a screw from underneath each corner.  I couldn't get one or two of the screws back in afterward, but that hasn't created a problem.

No pictures, but no leaks since the work was done.

And BTW---I have very little skill in plumbing, so I am certain THAT ANYONE can do what I did.  If Dave wants to bring the parts to Santa Paula, I would be happy to show him how to do the job.  Oh, he needs a little caulk to put back around the sink.

We keep our camper at a storage facility so I don't have access to it to see the specific hardware we need. We'll have to inventory it this weekend and then Dave will probably pick your brain about how to go about it. Thank for the info and the offer of help!!:D

Hey, I can bring my chain saw and crow bar to assist!

You are very welcome....BTW....don't tell ANYONE that I know ANYTHING about fixing ANYTHING. It's a well-kept secret that hardly ANYONE knows about.

If you want any other tools along with Moose's crowbar and chain saw, just post your predicament on the NNC board.  Who knows what they'll turn your PU into, ROFL!

I was telling the new folks at the rally that SCCampers was formed only a few months ago.  Looking back at the first posts here, that was only mid-May.

We should include our "history" on our website, going back to NNC days.  I'll be glad to write it, so any input/ideas are more than welcome lest I forget anything.  Post away! :)

Patricia,

If you write it, we'll post it.

Before writing a single word, I wanted to compile all our initial posts that sparked the formation of SCCampers.  So far they are 19 pages long!!!! (Promise I'll pare it down to something manageable for the Website!)

Web-related: The list of "Our Members" needs updating.  Do new folks get added as soon as they attend a rally, or do they need to individually let us know they want their name up there?  And are there any who are no longer participating that should be removed?

 OK, back to this History...

OK--hint taken.  Member list updated.  Just added names to anyone who has attended a rally.  If you want information listed, just e-mail me the following information.

Our members are giving us a list of information they would like to share plus a picture. They are also completing these three statements:
The best thing about camping is:
I enjoy camping with the SoCal PopUp Campers because:
If I knew then what I know now, I would:

I have pictures of most families...somewhere....so if you send me the information, I'll give you a page.

 No, no, I didn't mean to drop hints.  Genuinely didn't know how one became added to the Members' List/if they needed to give "permission" to have their name listed.

Actually, I think that anyone who comes to a rally is a member....otherwise, we would need to have RULES.  See http://www.sccampers.org/rules.htm for our bylaws.
