Being a member of SCcampers is like being in the Mafia.  You can try and move away if you want, but you are always a member and you can never get away!

SCcampers rallies just will not be the same without Jacqui and Randy.

If we have to give up OCcampers, it only seems fair that NNC should give us someone in trade.

Or like being a Marine.

Once a SCCamper, always a SCCamper.

She'll just have duel-citizenship like some other people.  We just won't see them as often, but we'll still see them.

I wonder who the "player to be named later" will be?

Wow, that is one sad crying face.  We haven't left yet!!  I am still hoping for Ccachuma.  Can't promise, but it is still written in pen in my day planner.  I am so ready to go camping.  We are hopefully still gonna make it to Pismo too.  See you won't be able to get rid of us for good.

Just saw a post by J-One over on PUX that his dad, JAJA, is selling his very very schnitzified Jayco if anyone is interested or knows of someone who would be.  (This is the camper that inspired Moose's shelves.)

Good morning everyone and Happy New Year!!!  I hope that you were all able to ring in the new year in a fun and safe way and that you escaped a day of hangovers today!  We as usual took to our street at midnight along with our neighbors, banging pots and pans with wooden spoons.  The people down the street had some very cool, albeit illegal, fireworks that were beautiful and lit up the crisp night sky.  Griffin remarkably slept through the whole thing.

The funny part is that when we finally went to bed around 12:45, Dave went to check on Griffin and make sure that he was covered up.  Griff's new thing is sleeping in his "fort" which means under a blanket draped across his bed like a canopy.  Well, as Dave carefully and quietly took down the blanket to cover Griffin up with it, Griffin instantly woke up and started crying about how "Daddy had taked away his fort"  I quickly put the blanket back up and the little snot immediately fell back to sleep! Ugh!!  Only 11 more months until he's four   (it does get better at four, right?)

We're going to go camping down at San Mateo this Saturday, since everyone is now back to health and we missed Ccacchuma.  It won't be the same as having camped with all of you, but at least we'll be camping! :D

Anyway, may you all have a wonderful and blessed New Year!

Happy New Year!!!

Scott and I celebrated the Eastern Time Zone New Year so we could be in bed by 11 p.m. Pacific Time! Hey, works for us. If there was anyone banging pots and pans, or shooting off fireworks, in our neighborhood, I completely missed the action.

Yes, Lori, it does get better at four! And five! And six! And seven! Get the picture? ;)

I'm glad you are all back to good health for the start of 2004. More camping in your "diet" will definitely keep you that way!!! Where do you camp in San Mateo?

Time to watch the game with Scott... Michigan vs. California! How good can it get? :D

Oops, should have been clearer--San Mateo CG in San Clemente :)

Oh, yeah, that's what Scott told me, too!

GO MICHIGAN!!!!! :D

Really??? Well, when from Michigan to avoid confusion (UofM - Michigan State), we say GO BLUE!

Scott said you most likely meant San Mateo CG! And, just for the record, when you are a "Michigan" fan, the correct cheer is GO BLUE! Otherwise it is not clear if you are for Michigan State or UofM. :D Hey, do you like Michigan wine? ;) [/font]

I was actually going to write "GO BLUE!" but for some dumb reason thought somebody might not understand who I was cheering for! (must be some of last night's champagne still clouding my thought-process:o )  I did put it in blue though :)

Chez Way

Hi all and happy new year!
Jim and I were at the Rose Bowl and yes, it was as bad as it looked on tv for the Michigan fans.  USC was definitely the better team.  Time to start rooting for the Red Wings!

We are looking forward to camping with our fellow ScCampers at Yucaipa in March and Pismo in June.

Jeanne,

I was feeling for you guys. Hope Jim didn't lose too much of the blue blood.  USC may have been the better team, but getting an interception off the heel of a receiver???  Tough to beat a team when they are getting breaks like that.

OC Campers

Happy New Year everyone!!!!

I was just looking at the Yucaipa rally and thinking how far away it seems. Would anyone be interested in maybe doing a mini-rally like 1/30-2/1 or maybe the next week 2/6-2/8? I don't know when superbowl is but do this the weekend that the superbowl isn't? Let me know if anyone is interested and I will look into finding a place. I think that wherever we choose it should have hookups (for the heaters) and fire rings. I was trying to think up a new place that we haven't been to that isn't too far away for everyone. A couple of places I was thinking of was:

1) Canyon RV Park--Anaheim Hills
2) East Shore RV Park--San Dimas. (We have stayed here twice and it is not too bad. The bathrooms got a little gamey but at this time of year it shouldn't be very crowded.

If you have any other suggestions let me know. I also thought about San Mateo CG in San Clemente but everyone would have to make their own reservations and then hope we can all get close together.
