Will you be at Campland? We have yet to camp there--it's a tad expensive....but I know we'll go eventually.

We're camping next weekend with Moose and Paula at VLR. Moose's SIL's camping group is having a rally. I'm thinking it'll be us two PUs and the rest posh darksiders, but we're looking forward to it. Griffin keeps asking if Maffew will be there and I have to keep telling him, no, not until the "beach trip." Griffy misses his camping buddy!

PS Have a blessed Easter everyone!  I'm off to Good Friday services!

Just a lil happy happy wish to you all.

Would any of you know a good place to purchace new tires for out 2nd home ??  I have looked around and saw what I saw. I was hoping maybe someone knew of a place that is trustworthy and fair.

Thanks in advance,

Mikey and Family.

No, we are staying at the KOA in Chula Vista.  We have also never stayed at Campland but would like to try it someday.  We thought about going to Seaworld but would you believe tickets for the 5 of us is apprx. $200 (even with a AAA discount) :( .  You can't afford to take a family anywhere anymore.  This our church campout and it is always a lot of fun.  I guess we will probably just relax around the CG.

Have fun at Vail Lake.  We haven't been there since out Trick or Treat trip.

Hey Mikey!

This may be stating the obvious, but have you tried camping world? I dn't know iof they carry PU tires, butmaybe they could order some?

I don't recall what city you're from but we really like our dealer, Carl's Acres of Trailers in Ontario/Pomona area. They always given us great service--we even called them on one of our first camping trips and they walked us through the solution to what we were having problems with! Their service dept mgr is Mark. Let me know if you'd like their number. The other pop up dealer I know of in So Cal is American Sales on Beach Boulevard in Stanton and also in El Monte.

I hope that helps! I'm looking forward to meeting you and your family at a rally one of these days! :)

Yes I checked.  I thank you for the info as well. I did find a place who can ship me a set for about 145.00 delivered. It's about a 40.00 savings from what I have found.  As for meeting you,,, It will be great. I am attending the Malibu fun Memorial weekend. Stop by for a bit if your in the area.

We tried to get a site at Malibu for that mini-rally, but the only site they had was almost $80.00/night.  That would've been 240.00 for a weekend, and we just couldn't see spending that much.  Instead, we'll be out at Woods Valley Kampground in San Diego at a mere $35/night.  Better on the wallet, but not conducive for a visit.  But there are other rallies and it'll only be a matter of time before we get to put a face with a name. :)

Ummmm, The internet was "NOT" around in my younger years for them to warn me of the """"Dangers""" that lurks in the camping world.

I guess I have to deal with all of you.  heh heh heh.  Can you please pass me a beer and a fire poker stick.

You're finally trying one of my family's favorite places.  Which site are you going to be in?  Make sure you take Griffin to Bell Gardens to ride the train (it used to be free, but now I think it's $5!  Steep, but he'll love it) and to Bates Nut Farm to feed the animals.  The office has maps to both places and they're both pretty close.  Have a great time!  We went in April one year and got rain overnight, but the daytime was beautiful.

We'll be in site 23 in the section called the Oaks.  It has water and electric hook ups, which is fine with us.  I definitely want to take Griffin to ride the train, but cb over in the "West Camping Reviews" forum here on PUT thought that Bell Gardens might have closed down.  How long ago have you been?  I hope that it is still operating; even at $5, it will be worth it to see Griffin's face when he rides a train!  We also plan on going to Bates Nut Farm.  I hope iot will be warm enough for Griff to go swimming.  There's nothing like wearing him out in the morning so that he takes a long nap in the afternoon!!!! ;)

I'm really excited about trying a new place, so even though we will miss everyone at Malibu, this has turned out to be a blessing in disguise (at least so far!):)

I have been lurking for sometime.  Hopefully, maybe one of these days we will be able to meetup at a rally.  Our next camping trip is to Dogwood campground in the San Bernardino Mountains during Memorial day weekend.

George,

Welcome...hope to meet you soon.  Any chance you can get to Pismo in June.  I think they have a few spaces available.  Enjoy Memorial Day up in the mountains.  A nice place to be.

Hi George, welcome to our camping group.  Looking forward to meeting you and your family.

My husband and I used to tent camp at Dogwood campground in Crestline/Blue Jay.    We have talked about taking the PU up there.  Is it still so sooty?  Our daughter was 18 months old the last time we went (gosh, it has been a while since we have been there, she is 12 now:eek: )  I remember her being covered from head to tow in ash.  But the campground itself is a beautiful place with all the tall pine trees.

Hey neighbor (we are right next door, in Foothill Ranch!)

Welcome to PUT and SCCampers!    Like Scott (gsm x2) said, if you are able to make it to Pismo Beach in June, there's a rally like no other waiting for you.  It's a co-rally with our northern brethren, NNC, and there are about 5 spots still available.  We'd love to have you join us!  Even if you can't make it to Pismo, we are always having informal get-togethers and last-minute mini-rallies, so keep an eye out on these boards and jump in whenever the water feels right! :D
