I opened up the Pop-up today.  Checking for mice or any other critter that may have established their winter home in it.  I didn t find any mice but I did find a small hole in the mesh window on one of the bunk ends.  Don t know how it got there but, does anybody know if there is any way to patch it without replacing the entire thing?  Also, I was looking around underneath it and it doesn t appear that the wood underneath had any kind of finish on it to protect it from water.  Should I put a coat of water sealer on it ?  Oh,, one more question.  I have a 2000 Coachmen Clipper.  Does anybody know of any kind of maintenance that should be done to the lift system, such as lubrication, ect. ?  I m still relatively new to the POP-UP thing and I wanted to go to the experts for advice.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can pick up a screen patch kit at almost any home improvement store (Home Depot, Lowes...).  Basically it is a small piece of screen that you weeve over the top of the hole.  They make the patch kit in both plastic and metal, so just make sure you get the plastic one.  Instructions are on the package.

I doubt if you need to seal it.  Most manufacturers use Structurewood by Weyerhaeuser.  Structurwood  is manufacturered with waterproof glues and it needs to breath and equally expand and contract on BOTH faces.  There is a more complete description on my [link=http://www.title-3.com/FAQ.htm]Frequently Asked Questions Page[/link]

Sorry, I don t have the answer to this one.  I m sure there is some lubrication recommended.  Check out the owners manual.  If you don t have a manual give Coachmen a call and seeif you can get one.

 Good luck
