Houston we may have a problem..........
 [:o][:@][:o][: (][:(]
I have news that may be good or bad regarding the Rally. I just recieved news on friday 5/30 that My Previously Denied Surgery has been Approved by my insurance. Problem is that we don t know when the surgery will be scheduled. The process usually takes 90 days from start to finish and then about a month to recover. I wont know until after my consultation on 6/6  when my surgery is going to take place. Hopefully It will happen sooner rather than later so I can get healed up long before October 18th.  This is one of those things that happens when you are trying to go camping....lol[:@]. Please bear with me on this one you guys, Seems I just got here and Im already causing trouble.... [8D]I will keep you all posted as to what is going to occur. I had intentions on site 84. I hope it is still available by the next weekend. Im not giving up on this Rally Unless I still have stitches and staples everywhere and even then I will just  have to dress up like a " Franken-Camper"  if all else fails....

 Wish me Luck,

Don t worry Nikk, we are patient people.  I hope you can still make it to the rally.  I will " pencil you in"  for site 84 anyway.  Hopefully, this will help the doctor gods and the camping gods along with their decision.

 OC CampersNikk,

For the NNC group, it s called " pulling a Sacto."   Could be " Pulling a Nikk"  down here.

In any case, good luck with your surgery.  And just so you know, sitting in a PU for a weekend is a pretty good way to convolese.

gsm x2Pulling a Sacto eh? OK OK What is a SActo? Does pulling a  sacto mean having alot of surgeries or something? if so, I dont want to pull a sacto.....lol. Im undergoing Gastric Bypass surgery ( oh wont this be fun)[: (] and double[: (]. What is going to be a real drag is if Im not back on solid food by then. I know I  need this surgery, but I really want to taste some of that DO cooking that everyone is going nuts over. I guess I shouldnt put the cart before the horse, but this is what happens when something threatens my food supply or enjoyment. No wonder I need this surgery....[:D].

Nikk--Sactocampers has a certain reputation for signing up for rallies, then pulling out for a variety of reasons---thus " Pulling a Sacto"  is pulling out of a rally.

Hope you don t have to pull a Sacto---but personally don t want to see DO cooking oozing out of bad stitch jobs either.  Good luck with the surgery.

OC CampersRandy (Mrflinders) thanks for the wonderful website.  Very catchy to the eye.  Do you want me to e-mail you directly with items (like site choices) or will you pick them up off the board?

 Jacqui,

I will do my best to follow the board, but since I sometimes don t get on the board for a week at a time, if you wouldn t mind emailing me updates from time to time, that will help me make sure not to miss anything.

At the same time, if anyone else sees something on the site that needs updating or changing, anyone is free to email me at randy@flindersfamily.com .

I have updated the site to show Nikk on site 84. Nikk - If your doctor gives you any trouble, just point him to the website and he will realize that your attendance at the rally has been pre-ordained by the SCcampers webmaster.  That should do the trick. [;)]

 mrflindersRandy,
That is a great Idea, I think I will point that out to him, heck, it can t hurt matters any. I must congratulate you On an AWESOME website Job, Very easy on the eyes and easy to navigate, I ve been sending links to everyone I know who usually camps with us. I m not sure how this is all going to go, but I cant think of a better way to recover than out there relaxing and enjoying the company of our New friends.

Let s see how this goes.

OC CampersAdd one more to the list!  My Friend Rex, his wife connie, and their 11 year old granddaughter Becka would like to join us for the rally.  They ll be in a 32 foot motorhome, but that s OK, we ll overlook that.

I ll add them to the website when I get a chance.  I am putting him down for Site 87 unless someone else had their eye on that site......

OC Campers

OC CampersRandy, I wrote Rex and family down for site 87.

So far that is 10 families signed up.  Only 8 more spots available.

 griffsmomHi all,

I am in Sydney, Australia, the first of three stops before we get back to the States.  I stopped at an Internet cafe with the express purpose of checking in with you all at Pop UP Times!  Hard corps or what?  I wanted to see how the Temechula Rally went last month.  By the looks of it the event was wildly sucessful.  We even have our own club!  How cool is that?  I am sorry that I missed it!  We scheduled to return home in late July I am glad to see a Halloween Rally has been planned.  I will have to check with SWMBO first but I know that I want to be there!  Sounds like a great trip.  I ll let you know as soon as I get home.

Sydney is great!  The people are great, food is fanastic and the city is beautiful.  The only thing missing is my wife and children.  We have done a lot of travelling the last few years and I really miss seeing and doing things with them.  They will meet me in Hawaii where we will stop for a few days next month.  The kids will then get to float back on the ship with me.  The only rule about having guest on board for the Hawaii to CA trip is that they must be over 8 yrs old cannot be a wife/husband or any type of significant older.  I know that they will get a little bored but I am sure that they will never forget it.

Time to get back to surfing the board!

 OC CampersHi All,

Just to let you know we havent dropped off the face of the earth. It has been insane as of late. I guess we should just be happy to be living through it all. We are still very much looking forward to  the October Rally. Currently Im still having to jump through the proverbial insurance " hoops"  to get this surgery done and over with so I can get back to camping in time. Oh Jacqui, when do we need to have our $$ in? We have decided we wont be denied. [&:]

I think I ll drop someone an email too....
