 The Q & A thread got me wondering: My girls are very heavy into the American Idol series. Almost tears if their favorite is voted off, and each episode is taped so they can review  the whole thing from beginning to end. Like we guys NEVER do that kinda stuff, right?[;)]  So, I thought I d ask and see if anybody else out there is actually watching. (Boy, this thread has the potential to either fade away without a single response, or develop a life of it s own.)
 
 So-- who s it gunna be: Ruben, or Clay?

 Ab DiverI think Clay only because he looks more like and idol.And since everything in hollywood is based on looks.... but rubin sings great!,

 Ab DiverAmerican Idol?  Am I missing something?  Of coarse, my kids are grown and out on their own, so I usually watch  " DIY"  stuff.

 Ab DiverSorry! I only " watch"  Pop Up Times Arvee Club! (It IS a show, isn t it?) Actually, I may be one of the very few in this country who can honestly say I ve never seen a single American Idol, Bachelor, Survivor or any other " reality"  TV show. Sorry! I like RV today, the Travel Channel, The Weather Channel and reruns of Home Improvement!

 Ab DiverActually, I m watching the tape of tonights show. I guess Clay looks the idol type....they both have terrific voices. Last years, Justin, would have never made it this year. There was some great singers.....

 Ab DiverI think that Clay will be the ultimate winner.  I feel that Rubin s voice was starting to get tired.  I also think that Rubin can only do ballads really well.  I feel that Clay has much more range in his voice and types of songs that he can sing.  I can honestly say that this is the only reality series that I watch.  At least something good is coming out of reality tv for once.

 Ab DiverI heard somebody say that Clay sounds like the next Barry Manilow!  But he still gets my vote!  Ruben still sounds pretty great though!  What I m really surprised was that none of the woman made it this far - some of them were really terrific!  I know DH won t post on this one - He is fed up with " reality"  TV, ready to scream!  I can sympathise with him, it really is getting to be to much!

 Ab DiverYeah, I think Clay will edge out Ruben. He has a better vocal range, and the little girls (mine in particular) think he s the neatest thing sine In-Sync (or however you spell it). But you never know how the voting will turn out...
 
 Either way, neither one of them will have a problem starting up a successful career. They both have an incredible amount of talent. MUCH more so than last year s second place finisher.
