Ab DiverJustin was probally glad that he wasn t in this year s contest. It would have been nice to have had Kelly Clarkson this year. It really would have been a fantastic show.

I thought there was no comparison between the two of them last night. I didn t get the chills that Randy got from Ruben singing. I got them with Clay when he finished the last song....he really did go from a geek to an idol. I m glad they showed that clip where he was going for his first tryout with the judges. He was sure of himself.....go CLAY[:D][:D][:D][:D]

Ab DiverRuben has a nice mellow voice, but he doesn t have a whole lot of range...each song sounds like the last, but he seems like a nice guy.  Clay has one of the greatest male voices I ve ever heard in a long time.  He can really sing and yes he gave me the chills last night because his singing really draws you in.  I m really hoping he wins, but I have a feeling the power dialers will be pushing the votes for Ruben.   Either way, both of these gentleman have great careers ahead of them.

Ab DiverI got sucked into ONE " reality"  show.  It was the very first Big Brother.  After that I had to go to Reality Anonymous.  I m pleased to say that I m still " on the wagon"  and have not even peeked at another " reality"  show.  Personally, I feel my life is as much " reality"  as I want or need to experience.  [:D][:)]

Ab DiverI was disapointed to see that Ruben had won.  I really thought that Clay had a much better voice.  I felt that Clay was getting stronger and that Ruben s voice was getting weaker.  I must say that I did not enjoy seeing Ruben sweating all the time either.   I think that Ruben will have a difficult time entertaining as opposed to Clay.  I am happy that both of them will be getting recording contracts.

Ernhrts3n8While not a  regular  watcher, I did see enough of these shows to be somewhat familiar with some of the performers.   I was somewhat disappointed to see Kimberly Locke get the boot, as I felt she really had a lot going for her, and was impressed with the changes she made during the competition.  And, I really got sick of seeing Clay s winking and gushing, and thought the right decision was made when Ruuuuuuuben won.  But, it seems like they were all winners, as several of them are already getting recording contracts, so being the " last man standing"  doesn t really matter all that much.

Ernhrts3n8I have to admit I got pulled into the show (besides what else was on that was any better!?) I have to start by saying I am not a racist, but I felt the vote was going to come down to black/white. The Black fans voted Ruben, the white fans voted Clay. That said I m glad that I personally didn t have to be the tiebreaker final vote. They both were excellent vocalists, with their own styles. Clay will always have a career in music but maybe not in a " rock"  genre. More broadway or Vegas.  Ruben is more " R&B"  like Luther Vandros. I wish them both great sucess.

Ernhrts3n8They both have it made ! I think the reult was a political thing . I eprsonally liked Clay s voice better but hey as long as they are recognized for what they are, I don t care who won ....

Ernhrts3n8I liked both their voices however I still feel that Clay deserved to win.  He always took the critisisim and improved himself and appeared to have more range overall.  Ruben got off his Barry White kick but did not get a lot of criticking, and other than his wardrobe, it seemed that Simon and the others felt Ruben would be the winner.  Considering how close the voting was, I have a feeling we ll be seeing a lot more of both of those guys.
