RE: Ahhh, the smell of the newly popped up camper!!!!

Hi folks,
 
 Just had to add this in as it tis the season for popping them up - restocking them and getting them ready to roll.  DH and the kids and I popped up the camper yesterday - I could smell that camper aroma wafting out from under the roof as it lifted up!  I love that smell!!!! It s a cool combination of the " new"  camper smell (although it s not so new anymore) and the last memories of the previous camping season - a little pine needle, a little campfire etc....Hmmm - just can t wait to get it out again!!!
 We are hoping to enjoy a memorial Day camping extravaganza - hopefully the rain will subdue and we will carry on.  If the rain does decide to do it s thing - we will have fun anyways!  I d be just as happy sitting in the camper taking all those scents in again!!!
 
 I did restock it and eliminated a bunch of stuff I just  don t need - I am finding that space is the issue every time we camp - so I am learning as I go.
 Here are a few things I did:
 Removed the vast majority of my cooking pans - I now will use the " Pasta Pot"  set for all of my cooking and it comes with the built in strainer so when I whip up my American chop suey it s a peice of cake. I kept the fry pans and skillet.
 Replaced all of my " washable dishes"  with paper goods!!!!
 Replaced all of my serving bowls - I usually serve out of the pot when I need to anyways! For serving chips and stuff I have a wicker basket that I line with a paper towel - otherwise it s out of the bag!!!
 That s the major stuff - It really does save so much space!  I have lots of room for those incidentals now!  LOL!!!!

 Did you see my post under " what I got for Mother s Day" ? It will be nice to put a face to a name. When I go in my bought used pu.for the first time of the season...there is a smell....like a lite scent of fire burning.....now its a smell of a particular soap from a basket I got when I had my operation. I love it....I wish I could find it again.....I ll have to ask my daughter in-law and her mother where they got it.

And here I am getting ready to close up my camper for the summer after just one more trip.  Too hot, too humid already.  So the camper will rest until Labor Day when she goes out again!!!!

Foxyladies - can t wait to meet you and your sis Ernhrdt8(sp) at the CG this weekend.
 Anyone who has to close up their camper at this time of the year has my sympathy - after coming thru the winter we just had - I can t even wait to camp!!
 However, if you have all been camping while we have been shoveling snow - then I guess it s okay - but you can live vicariously thru us Northeastern campers until you pop it up again on Labor Day!!!!
