Has anyone have an idea what a GOOD price would be ? Would like to get one.

whitestar505We surfed around the internet and then priced it at Wal-Mart. We ended up ordering it from there. It took 5 days to come in and was $212 and change, including tax.

OC Campers

whitestar505My dh ordered ours 2 years ago.  I think he bought on line.  I believe we paid around $250 plus installation.  We are now about to purchase the Reese 400 single bar hitch.  Can t wait to get it.

whitestar505The best price I ve seen is about $200, not including tax.

The cheapest I ve seen on-line is at the [link=http://www.reesehitch.com/weightdist_lite.html]Pit Crew[/link].

Since you have a Coleman (made by Fleetwood) you need the Fleetwood version (Reese # 66041).

whitestar505Those with Safari/Astro vans did you need the WDH with your popup?  We just signed the papers on a Jayco 14SO so unsure if we will need, so your advice is most greatly appreciated.

GM recomments a WDH for trailers over 2,000 lbs for the Safari/astro s, so I d recommend you get one.
It made a big difference to the handling and feel of our 3,500 lb Niagara.
I put some photos of my installation on my web page a year or so ago.
 Hope they help

Although I push WDH s, I d double check whether you can use one with the Jayco.  If the Jayco has surge brakes, you will need a sag solution that does not include a Mini-350.  I think (maybe) the Mini-400 or some other WDH that uses chains can be set up to work with surge brakes.
