Can clear this up for me once and for all?

We were planning to install A/C on our 2000 Coleman Westlake and wanted to either do it ourselves or have someone other than the dealer do it, but we had heard that doing so would invalidate that ever-important warranty we have on the roof as original owners.

I have since heard that isn t true and we can have it done by whomever we want.

Which is it?  I really want A/C but I don t want to pay a fortune for it, but I also want to be protected in the event that the roof eventually sags!  An official statement from Fleetwood would be nice, if someone has a link or a quote.

 Thanks!

I guess the real question is do you want A/C? If the dealer does it in MOST cases it will be done right. If done by someone other than a dealer, is like taking a shot in the dark. If you do a lot of research on the shop that will install it , the better off you will be. I am not saying no one but a dealer can do it, but your chances are slim.

Tracy and DavidSend Coleman an email and let them answer the question.  I have heard you can install it your self.  If Coleman says you can do it then you are covered as long as you do it properly.
