 Fellow Arvee Club mates, I have a old restored (still need a few new mods) Coleman pop up. I have a 5 years old canvas on the camper and was wondering about adding some new protectant for the weather before we start the new camping season (witch looks like a very busy one). Please advise me of a product and the best method of applying product. Plus doea anyone know of a good website to purchase parts for older model campers.

 Thanks

 John the BaptistFirst look at what the owners manual or the manufacturer of the canvas recommends.  I use a silicon spray waterproofer that I purchase at Wally World.  It is an aerosol spray can. That seems to provide a fine enough mist that it covers the area thoroughly.  Wally World has the Scotchgard silicon water proofer in their camping section but also sells a sort of " no name"  product for quite a bit less.  I have actually had better results with the no name than with the Scotchgard.

 John the BaptistI ve been using " Camp Dry"  brand for quite a while , and have been happy with the results. I treat my canvas every 2 - 3 years. Water beads up nicely.
 My vote is for Camp Dry!!

 This is the key phrase. 5 year old fabric on a 1976 Pop Up indicates it is a replacement fabric.

 Who did you get the new canvas from.  Knowing what " canvas"  they used will determine which product you should use to waterproof it.

 If the canvas was replaced before you got it, is there any tags around any of the zippers which may identify the canvas replacement company or which fabric was used.

 Besides a factory supplied canvas, the two major canvas replacement companies are:

 [link=http://www.canvasreplacements.com/]Canvas Replacement by Camper and Recreation, Inc.[/link]

 [link=http://www.bearcreekcanvas.com/]Bear Creek Canvas [/link]

 If I were picking a replacement company, I would probably pick Canvas Replacement by Camper and Recreation, Inc.  Not only have they been in business the longest, they advertise in Pop Up Times.
