I have had some wonderful information on a purchase on a Coleman & a Rockwood.  Today we went to a dealer and looked at a new 2003 Jayco 14SO w/ convenience group, toilet/shower option, wtr htr, outside shr, 14  canopy, a/c installed and brake control installed on vehicle for $10,890 +ttl.  Any inputs on this price, the msrp of the trailer is $11,916.00 then you have to add a/c & brake control.  Please any insight is most wanted.

coreyri see that nobody answered yet, normall " they"  say you should be able to get a PU for 25% less than MSRP. In this case 8937$.

I am just quoting what I heard/read on the board, I am sure someone will come along soon enough and set me straight.

coreyrI know that Berglund Outdoors in Troutville,  Virginia are selling all 2003 Jayco s for 25% off the MSRP.  Their phone number is 1-800-896-8887 Ask for Scott.

coreyr25% off would be rather generous. From my experience it s more like 10-20%.

The price you were quoted sounds pretty good. I was quoted about that same price for the 12FSO configured similarly. You may be able to press them for a few hundred more, or perhaps they ll throw in some freebies (like extension cords, water pressure regulators, etc). But even if you can t I still think that s not a bad price.

coreyrIf you live in the east where the shipping cost is lower, you should expect to get 25% off the list price.  In the off season you can do even better.  You may need to shop around at different dealers in order to get the price you want.

As for the brake controller what controller is it?  The Prodigy made by Tekonsha is the best out there.  Tell them that you want that controller and nothing else.  They sell for around $100.
