We got home from a nice weekend of camping last Sunday, and found our computer DEAD>>>>>> DH tried resecitating it, but no such luck. So I m now on our brand new, faster computer with all the new bells and wistles. I d have rather spent the money on stuff for the camper, but Oh Well.
 
 I ll try to catch up on everything soon.

   The same thing happened to ours a month ago... difference was a virus infected ours and killed it good.  We bought a new P4 which is working much better than the old one ever did.
 
 I worked on the old PC for about a week before I finally managed to get rid of the virus.  I had to format the drive about 5 times before the virus software confirmed it was gone.  Whew!
 
 So now our kids have it (an old P2) for playing their games and stuff.

We have two firewall programs that run on our computers besides the one that runs on our local telephone companies internet server.  I would recommend them to anyone who doesn t already use them.  Black Ice and Norton s Firewall.  In over 5 years we have never had a virus to attack our computers.

Ours wasn t a virus, just the hardrive (I think) decided to die. And when DH tried to replace it he found out our Motherboard(?) was too old to accept a new hard drive, and he found 1 that was used that would work, but was almost as much as a new one, and it could go at any time too....so He decided a new system would be best.
 
 Can you tell I don t know much about computers??? I leave almost all tech decisions up to him, till he trys to convince me we need a 21"  monitor LOL.
