Hello all,   this is Mrs. TR , the better half of ThunderRock.   On 5/25/03 at 4:00 PM
 I took ThunderRock into ER at the hospital . He was complaning about his stomach
 cramping on him . Thought he had the flu.  Well with all the test they took, he has Pancreatitis and his gall stones could be bothering him also.  He is going to be in the Hospital for 4 days at least.  With the power of prayer on this board i know he will be better sooner. The sooner he gets better he can go CAMPING again.

I am home this weekend because I just had gallbladder surgery, about the only test I know of for that is an ultrasound or the like. I was lucky, I had 3 attacks, 2 while camping this spring. My step-daugter had to go through 2 procedures with hers, she like your husband went ot the hospital because they thought she had a severe flu, but it was really that a stone was lodged in her duct and they had to go in after it with light anethstisia, like I said, I was lucky, one procedure under full anesthesia. Not sure about pancreatitis...I ve been real lucky.
 yes, you have our prayers, this is not a fun thing that TR has to go through he will need prayers for strength and you for patience.

Good luck to you.  I started having pancreatitis problems last year about this time.  I ended up having my gall bladder out and I still wasn t right.  Problems on and off for about 6 months.  I went back into the hospital again for renewed pancreatic problems and it turns out that I had developed a pseudo cyst in my pancreas and had to have two additional surgeries in February. It turns out that 2/3rds of my pancreas had disintegrated.   I just passed the one year " anniversary"  of my first trip to the hospital.  I am finally feeling better but need to take daily medication for the pancreatic problem.
