RE: Our camping trip was a washout

The rain started on thursday - then lasted thru Monday (today).  We canceled along with the other 6 families that were going with us - it is too difficult to camp in cold and rainy junk with a boatload of little kids and teenagers.  My teenager was mad that we cancelled because she wanted to sleep in the car instead of in her tent or the camper...go figure!!!!
 I was somewhat relieved to cancel because my youngest daughter got a serious stomach bug that she still has today - so we would have been in trouble discovering her ailments an hour away from home.  It was a good thing we bailed - but I felt so bad because we were all looking forward to it and I would have finally met FoxyLadies and Ernhrt3n8!!  Next time!!

we cut ours short, left thursday night came home saturday night, we were ok, but our friends were tenting, and it just got to cool and damp, so they called it a wash, and when the rain slowed down we helped pack them up, and sent them on there way,(2 hour drive) now they have to hang the tent to dry, when ever this rain stops! along with the other stuff.
 
 I m so happy we are in a trailer now, thats the only thing that helped they came into our trailer to dry out and warm up, the kids fell asleep on our bed quickly after drying out, and warming up.
