Coleman comes with a foldout hanger rod in the ceiling of the pop-up.  My wife wants me to go back to the dealer and get a couple more installed.  The website doesn t mention a price.
I am nervous about drilling anything into the ceiling.  Stupid question but I assume that there are studs there.  It is a 2001 Coleman Bayside.  Has anyone done it?

pcasey250It is a " wardrobe rack"  that you are referring to.  We had an additional one installed in our Utah.  I think I paid my dealer $30.00 installed for it.  It is attatched with 4 rivets I think.
If you are the original owner you should have the dealer install it/them so as not to void your ever-precious lifetime parts and labor (& possibly shipping) ABS roof warranty.  If you are not the original owner, then rivet away as you can probably pick up the wardrobe rack and rivets from your dealer for about $20.00 each I m guessing.
You can also stretch a miniature 10"  bungee cord across your screen door tracks in the ceiling for dish towels and washcloths to hang and dry on.

pcasey250There aren t any studs in the ceiling.  Coleman uses a split rivet to attach things to the roof of the trailers.  You just drill a hole (the instructions will tell you what size) and then install the rivet.   Just make sure you don t drill too deep.

pcasey250We bought another one of those wardrobe racks when we had our pop-up.  It was an EASY install -- drilling four holes and using rivets. Of course, we have a rivet gun.

I would HIGHLY recommend getting more of these put in a camper.  We didn t use them to hang clothes on hangers.  We used them for a hanging wire basket, and a folding sweater rack that you would normally use in a closet.  It worked out WONDERFULLY!
