For those of you who are looking for a fun way to burn a few hours while camping:

No matter where you are, chances are very good that there will be a " cache"  within a few miles of you.  Print out the coordinates of the cache nearest your campground ahead of time.  Then, let the kids decipher the clue and off you go!

WIcampingWIcamping - we just started caching a little over a month ago. What a blast! The kids love to find new treasures and it s great being together outdoors.

Something else that s fun if you don t own a GPS is [link=http://letterboxing.org/]Letterboxing[/link]. There s not as many Letterboxes as Caches but they re both fun to do.

Have fun fellow Cacher & Camper[:)]

 WIcampingHey SimiRich:

I ve hidden four in San Francisco, they re some of the busiest in the area.  Take a look at some of the links to our caches.

Although, Simi Valley is a long ways away from San Francisco.  Glad to know that you re finally out there doing the " cache in, trash out"  lifestyle.

 SurfcalSurfcal,
I figured that you d be into Geocahing. You re the cool " Gadget Man" . We ve only started to hunt for them. We haven t hidden any yet.

When I visit the Bay, I m going to hunt down your caches. There s something about that Surfcal aura [8D]

WIcampingI just discovered what caching was a few months ago when one of my volunteer groups did a cleanup in a local park and combined it with a large geocaching event.  Their T-shirts read " Trash in, Cache out" .  Cute! [:)]
