I see that we have direct members who need our spiritual help...but I am asking if you can spare more spirit for DS s best friend Bobby.

Bobby camped with us just a few weeks ago...and was so proud about just getting his driver s license.  He is truly a good driver and has been driving under supervision for a year.  He s almost 17 now.

Memorial Day his terminally ill grandpa had an episode and needed emergency help so Bobby and his mom drove Grandpa to the hospital.  Not sure what happened or how long it took, but end result is that Bobby was driving Grandpa (front seat) and Mom (back seat) home from the hospital at around 1 in the morning.  All we can figure is that Bobby fell asleep -- hit a light pole.  Grandpa was airlifted to Loyola but didn t make it.  Mom was airlifted to Olympia Fields - prognosis not good with broken neck and swelling on the brain.

Bobby is as you can imagine distraught about his grandpa s death.  Not sure what might happen if his mom doesn t make it.  Can you please keep Bobby and his mom in your prayers -- for strength to survive?  Many thanks in advance.

texacokatBobby s grandfather s wake was last night.  We got the straight story from Bobby.  Turns out a car pulled out in front of him and in trying to avoid a collision, he hit the light pole.  The driver who caused the accident had the " decency"  to call 911 but didn t stick around.  Police are checking 911 records now to try to trace.

The BEST news is his mom is pulling through!  She is NOT paralyzed and has some movement in her eyes and fingers, although still in a coma.  Although it was doubtful a week ago, it looks as if she ll make it.  Thank you for helping this to happen.  As you know, prayer is powerful.

And Bobby is going to be OK after all, too.

texacokatThe well-wishers & prayers were with me just last week, so I guess I should reciprocate & send them your way, now!

 texacokatPrayers are with them all.
Might be a good idea to encourage Bobby to talk to a professional at some point, that is pretty horrible thing for anyone to go through let alone a young man of 17.
