Let s see it s 8:44 p.m. - probably having a cold beer by the fire - relaxing and laughing with friends over the days events - getting ready to either hit the pads or start up my favorite dice game of " No Gut s No Glory" ......

What time is it where you are - and if you were camping what would you be doing????

PopupnutI would also be sitting next to the fire with a glass of my favorite adult beverage.  Smething about sitting next to that fire that is very relaxing.

PopupnutWell,it s about 7:30 out here on the best coast-enough daylight left to take a short stroll around the campground-then start a fire.Thinking about roasting apples on the fire.Bailey s in coffee sounds good too.Decaf of course.

PopupnutSierra camping: The bacon-wrapped spuds would be roasting on the campfire, the steaks would be ready to go, my nice cold micro-brew would be half finished, and I d be beating all comers in horseshoes. [;)]

Coast camping: The abalone would be ready to go, the ling cod would be on the grill, the kids would be feeding the seagulls potatoe chips, my sweetie would be nestled into her chair next to the fire reading a book, and I d be telling my dive buddies about " The one that got away" . [;)]

 PopupnutHey you guys are good!

Okay it s 7 am - I would have the coffee perking because the kids would have already woken up and started to giggle and whisper in their beds so I would have given up the idea of rest (put that off until they are teenagers that sleep until 11).
DH would be restarting the  embers from lastnight and we would be talking about what our agenda is for the day.  DH would ALREADY be talking about what s for dinner!!!! The dog would be wagging her tail and smiling at any and every camper that walks nearby - does your dog smile too? Soon the kids are up - wanting to know if they can go back to the frog pond and catch that bullfrog they were after yesterday....." after breakfast" , we would tell them - and then DH would begin the bacon & eggs and slowly our friends would start to gather around the coffee pot and talk about how great it is to camp!!!!  Because NOTHING smells better than bacon cooking when you are rising early & camping!

Popupnut8am, I d be having my second cup of java.  I d leave the kidlets in the bunkhouse with dh and go for a quick stroll, I love to see the forest wake up, the dew dripping from the grass, the smell coming off of lake Simcoe, saying Good Morning to the couple who are also enjoying the morning air.  Then I d head back to the campsite and enjoy being with my family.

I d be drinking my first or second cup of coffee, trying to convince the dog it is to early for a long walk or a game of frisbee!

Foxyladies

PopupnutI d be getting up at the ungodly hour of 6:30 am for some stupid reason.....go for my one hour walk around the campground, make a pitstop at the bathrooms and then have my usual strawberries and raisin bran cereal.with my decafe coffee..six days out of the week.  Then be complaining of this awful raining weather we ve been having every camping weekend. I do have to say....nothing can beat the smell of bacon cooking outside.....my mouth is watering right now.

That receipe of bacon over spud sounds yummy.....can you give it out?[:D][:D]
