I am going to a family reunion at Cook Forest over July 4th and am looking for some input on good campgrounds.  I called Cook Forest about a site, but they don t have any sites with water and I really like as many of the comforts of home as possible even though I am camping![:)]
The lady I spoke to at Cook Forest suggested Camper s Paradise at Sigel, and I saw Wolf s Camping Resort at Knox in the AAA Campbook.  I wondered if y all had any first hand experience with campgrounds in that area.
(As I am writing this I seem to recall there might be another site for campground evaluations --  scuse me if I have this in the wrong place.[:o])
Thanks in advance for your input.

 C. HainsDid you try Clear Creek State Park near Sigel?  Also Loleta, a National Forest Campground near Marienville?  Both have electric and are near Cook Forest.  I imagine tho the getting a site on the holiday weekend may be difficult.  Sorry I know nothing about the private campgrounds around there, there are quite a few.
Have you been to Cook Forest before?  It s a wonderful woods and like no other I ve ever been to, we love it - hope you will have time to explore.  I m heading to Beaver Meadows next weekend so if I get a chance I ll check out Campers Paradise.  I ve heard that Deer Meadow campground at Cook Forest has nice facilities, allows dogs but it looks like the sites with electric and water are in a grassy open area, if you aren t bothered by that it would probably be OK, also I ve never seen it full.

 C. Hainsthe camp ground at cook s forest has electric only  and not water hook up, but y ou can fill up with water when you get there....but both wolf s and the other are nice looking campgrounds.  From the road they look clean and well kept.

 C. HainsIf you like canoeing the Clarion River at Cook Forest is a very tame but enjoyable river.  You can rent canoes and they take you upstream and you can go down to the take out point.  Go only if the river is high enough or you may end up getting out and dragging it over the rocks!

 C. HainsWe like Deer Meadow Campgrounds, we usually camp there at least twice a year.  They keep it very clean and have nice facilities.  We are planning on going there June 14-16th!
Check out their webpage at:  www.deermeadow.com
