I have heard many good things about Spring Gulch, can anyone let me know some good W/E sites(close to the bathroom, shady with W/E).

Joe BuskirkWe ve only stayed in the upper section that has W/E/S.  The sites are shady and are seperate from each other with trees and shrubs.  All sites are stone lined so there is no mud.  This year, we re trying out the lower full hookup sites to be closer to the action for the kids -- around site 300, I think.

They tried putting us near their lake our first time, but we nixed that because I was afraid there would be too many bugs.  Those W/E sites have no trees, but each site has a rickety looking wooden canopy over the picnic table.

I have found the office staff to be very helpful if you tell them what you want in a site -- and your reservation holds the site they gave you originally.

We camp here a couple times a year and enjoy it each time.  A visit to the Shady Maple Smorgasbord and market is a must, but they are closed on Sunday!

 Have fun!

Joe BuskirkWEll we arrived home today after a few days at this campground. This campground is nice, but a bit hilly and some sections are VERY hilly and  uneven, we had to change our site as it was VERY uneven and washed out.  I think because of all the rain they had, some sites were  rally washed out. plenty of activities for everyone, nice size pool. bathrooms were ok some were very old and needed updated while others were fine. the sites " up top"  areused for travel trailers and bigger. I did not see any pop ups at alll up there. when i called for reservations, and they  asked what i would be camping in , i told them a pop up and they said no all hill top sites were full... ok im thinking summer week fine. well thru out the time we were there they had quite a few empty sites. i guess they like the pop ups down below by the tents. that is fine as we were closer to the activites and so forth.  also not every site has a picnic table  so ask to be sure, we ate insside but others around us just took tables from other sites[&:]store was well stocked, but they dont sell diet soda[:(]. all in all it was a nice place and we may return for a weekend in september. I would like to try lake in woods next I hear it is lovely[:)]
