Gone-Camping

I m very curious how Birol s first camping trip went, I figured he d be back in Ontario and posting about his experience with the MOAT and all the new PUT friends he made this week!

campingcop

Gone-CampingDon t know were he is and why he is not posting, but in talking with him at the rally it seams that he had a good time, I hope he made it back home ok

birol

Gone-CampingYup, made it home alright, and had a great great time ! I had to wake up earlry today and do the ensspapers and went beack to sleep , and slept most of the day. Then had to empty the windstar which meant reorganizing the garage and so on. I am going to summarize the whole experience, properly once I am back on my two feet.

Executive summary : WE WOULD DO IT AGAIN WITHOUT BLINKING !

Gone-Camping

Gone-CampingI m glad you made it back ok, and happy to hear you enjoyed the experience!!! Trap Pond next month???

Nope, never found out who gave me the fuel ..... I didn t want to be cheap and take it, bu just in case someone else who camped there forgot it there , I took it. The thing is, I didn t know that Cavman had filled up the stove s and lantern s tanks fully ! So I did not even need additional fuel.

In case a nice person (And there were more than one of you !)  left that Coleman fuel for me, If you didn t expect me to take it, I am sorry, And in either case, thanks you very much. I will put it to good use :)

We left at 6:15 and was on I77 around 7 am after passing by the McDonalds and getting something to eat. We could have easily been home by 6 pm but,  that would put us into the rush hour traffic in Toronto which would delay us in gridlocks till 9 pm ! So we spent time at different places, bough DS s MP3 player in Erie, and drove slowly. Made it home at 10 pm and slept at 11:30 after telling DW about the whole trip and all four days! I am so glad we did decide to make this trip !

Gone-CampingI am glad you had a good trip with us and a safe trip home.  Now next time your DW needs to come so she can tell us stories about you.[:D]

birol

Gone-CampingAs some of yoo must have realized, I made a friend at the rally, John is a great guy and we hit it off right from the start. Our DD s also seems to get along great ! We are going to hook up sometime in July for a few days (we did not pass the test for a week long hook up [8D]), and have fund and let the DW s get to know each other as well.

DS will be in Alberta with his squadron, me DW and DD will be camping together this time !

birol

Gone-CampingHey Corey ! It was great meeting with you and your DW. I wish we got to spend more time together but couldn t do so unfortunately. We passed by your site to say goodbye, but you were out. I think my DD has your DD s address, she was delighted to be friends with yours,  she kept asking me if we would ever camp together again. A definite affirmative there as an answer [;)]

 Gone-CampingBirol,
Sorry didn t get to say formal goodbye but the day before we were at Virginia City & just darn tired.  Then we left to beat the traffic back to Cincy.
