Well, I thought we had it.. We both like Isabelle, but that name just seems to bring to mind the thought of a dark haired kinda middle-eastern person when you hear it.. Now if our daughter has dark hair, I think that will be it. However... she will probably be blond or red haired and it don t just seem to fit.. So I thought with all my free time at the rally, I would spend a few hours searching a name database in my palm and I came up with " Kaitlyn Rose Thomas" ... But now [link=http://www.yankeetoys.org/lee/my-wife.jpg]SOMEBODY[/link] don t like it because..??? Well I have no idea.. I think [link=http://www.yankeetoys.org/lee/my-wife.jpg]Somebody s[/link] mom don t like it or sister or something like that... [:@] But heck.. I just can not find one I like.. Well, there is Kathleen..  or maybe Bridget..

I think our daughter will be dating before we have a name here.. Bugger, there is only 62 days left! [:o]

Firefyter-EmtIf we had a girl instead of two boys we were going to name her " Heaven."   Because god brought us a little piece of heaven.  But alas, we are just a boy family.

Firefyter-EmtMy children were both born blond- I mean BLOND. They now both have dark brown hair. So don t go by that hair color at birth for a name! [:D]

Firefyter-EmtGood grief is right!!  (Very cute sweetheart! [&:] - love the " somebody"  link!)  Don t worry about it - I think she ll be born, we ll look at her, and know just what to name her!!  With EVERYTHING else going on right now, this is pretty classic to worry about!!

LoadedCamera

Firefyter-EmtSorry Andrea...but I agree with Lee.  I think " Kaitlyn Rose Thomas"  sounds really pretty.  Kathleen also fits.  But I am partial to all forms of Kathy.

Firefyter-EmtIf you really like Kaitlyn but maybe aren t quite set on it, try some of the varieties of it.

We know a Kaylynn.  It s different, I haven t heard of another not even at daycare.

We used Kaitlind, I needed that hard consonant sound and stop before flowing into her middle name Alene.  She was Kaity up until she started Kindergarten, when she quickly informed us she was Kaitlind, not Kaity.  I also have not seen another Kaitlind, lots of other variations, but not a Kaitlind.

What are the boys named?  Is there some pattern you are following with them?  You don t want to make her feel left out now, when she gets older and finds out how all the kids were named.

Firefyter-EmtWe named our daughter Haley Rose, but you could use it too!  [:D]   I m sure once she arrives you ll just know what to name her.

If this is the worst of your arguments, your marriage is doomed... to last forever!
 Good luck!  Best wishes!

NightOwl

Firefyter-Emtwell, if she  LOOKS like your boys, she will look like an angel.  (How about " Angela Rose" ?)   Although Isabelle is a beautiful name--someone is sure to call her Izzy and if she is blond, someone may even call her  Dizzy Izzy.  Oh, dear![:o]

Kaitlyn or some variant is really beautiful and has character and sounds good for your fair-haired baby. And there is always Katya.  " Katya Rose Thomas."

I suppose you arent interested in something including her Momma s graceful name like " Alexandrea"  or " Alexandria ?  That sounds pretty regal and could always be shortened to Alex  or Drea for a nickname if you like.  Hmmm..." Alexandria Rose Thomas" [:D]

What you name her is important--a child should like her (his) name and feel it is very special.

I had a delightful counselee at U of Mich named  Shoshanna, a form of Susannah--she was bright,  beautiful (strawberry blonde, blue-eyed) and   I thought how perfect her name was for her (by the way, it is  a Biblical name" , means " rose"  in Hebrew.)  And there is always something like Anna Rose or Anna Mary.

Whatever you name her, you and the boys will adore her and she will  surely be a blessing to all of you[:)]

DH named DS #1 - Patrick - just liked the good Irish name!
I named DS #2 - always wanted a Joshua (even named my stuffed bear that when I was a kid)
DS #1 claimed picking the name for DS #3 - Matthew.  We were throwing names around and all liked that one!

Obviously origin doesn t matter ( 1 Irish, 2 Hebrew), and I do like Kaitlin - I had a cousin who died of Leukemia at age 2 with that name.  She was adopted from Korea and was the sweetest little girl you ever knew!  I have very fond memories tied in with that name - only hers was spelled with a " C"  .  Seeing it written down by LoadedCamera makes me have second thoughts, though!  It does look pretty! [:)]  We shall see!

Firefyter-EmtI was told my twin s would be a girl and a boy.  We had the boy s name picked out; Jeffery and the girl s name was to be Mye (pernounced My) after a very dear friend.  Well, the second twin ended up being a boy and we didn t have a clue what to name him!  The attending pediatrician actually suggested Gregory and it stuck.  If I were ever to have another girl (yeah right[:o]) I would name her Mye.

One suggestion I would like to offer; take a look at the top ten name list and avoid it!  How many Tammy s do you know born between 1967 and 1975?  Alot!  It was a very popular name at that time.  There were 5 girls named Tammy in my grade nine English class!

Firefyter-Emt

Firefyter-EmtOh sure... but when I had the name typed out in my palm it didn t look just the same?? [:o] Can I be stubborn here?? I have read through many many internet lists of baby names...

Kelly

Firefyter-Emt[font=" comic sans ms" ]I m guessing this won t be very helpful, but I had to share.
I call my fourth " Baby Girl"  [:D]

(Really I hardly ever have to call her at all!  She s always right on the heels of all the big guys!  Apparently nobody told her she s the youngest one! [&:])[/font]

Firefyter-EmtMy opinion and a hand full of change will by you a cup of coffee so don t take it to seriously, but I like Kaitlyn Rose.

Don t worry we picked out a name for our last son and changed our minds at the last minute.  I wasn t happy about leaving the hospital before giving our son had a name.  But, the DH was hard to please.

When our son was taken back to the hospital and things didn t look for for him, I told my DH to quickly give our son a name just in case the lord had other plans for him.  He picked a great name and we are happy and healthy today.

NCSunshine

Firefyter-EmtI like Alexandria (of course that is one of my DD s name).  Kaitlin is a good one, sweet little girl in our church with that name.  One of the most gentle spirited girls I know.
