Suezyque

 Hello everyone
Thanks to those of you that have emailed.  I ve been SO busy and just don t get online like I used to.
I had a really trying time with my daughter.  She spent a week in the adolescent psych unit and came home.  She got worse then went back into a different unit for another week.  She was cutting her arms up and becomming very violent with others.   She was talking suicide ALL THE TIME.  The new meds and lots of prayers are working.  She s doing MUCH better I m glad to report.  She s at a week of Christian camp right now and having a ball she says.  I m hoping she ll agree to another week of Christian camp elsewhere.
We still have the popup, but don t have many plans to use it this year.   I set it out to sell it, but after a couple days, I just couldn t bear to part with it.  I took the sign down and my son has " moved into"  it.  :)
I ve just been so overloaded with things in my life.  I m planning on taking the kids to Six Flags, Darien Lake in August, but that s all for camping this year.  We will stay at Letchworth or Darien Lake state park.  The campgroud at the park wants $75 a nite!! EWWW
Again, I appreciate the emails of concern.  Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their summer!

SuezyqueGlad to hear that things are ok, or at least looking better. I hope your situation stays such that you don t have to sell your popup.

How s your son been doing with the fire.  I " assume"  things are better for him and things have gotten better.  Did you ever find a nice place?

kathybrjParents who love and care for a troubled child are such wonderful messengers of strength and hope for you go through such emotional pain yet work so hard to keep it all together.  Your positive attitude and love for your daughter will see you through this along with the thoughts and prayers of those around you.

Suezyquei feel for you girlfriend...mental illness runs big time in my ex s family and so i was always trying to keep in touch with my kids feelings and moods.  ppl thought i was morbid when i would ask them when things where a bit tough for them if they had thoughts of suicide and they would answer me honestly cuz i let them know when they hit their teens...about how mental illness can be passed on.

right now my oldest is the one who always had the problems...and they are having a hard time finding meds that work...her boyfriend is a saint, cuz he keeps her intouch wiht reality checks and watches out for my two grandaughters which are not his biologically, but they are his in his heart...thank god for that.

Suezyquegee SZY I was wondering where you were...sooo sorry.  As the dear, departed Ann Landers would say, " This, too, shall pass."

I know how hard it is to be a single mom, but I never had to deal with crises such as yours.

I ve found that it s your friends that will help you get through things like this.  Congrats on being able to " open up"  with your online friends.
