[:(][:(][:(]  <--there isn t a pouty face big enough here.

Lori had site #9, which is close to the stairs leading to the bathroom.  May I suggest a fair way to re-assign this site is to a family that needs quick access the most, e.g. potty-training kiddie (like Griffy [:(]) or other little kid, or whoever else needs a bathroom quickly.  Lemme know!

Thank you for the sympathy cry, my fellow Ha-Ha sis.  Here, have a tissue.  I ve got a whole box of  em.  [:)]

 UPDATE[ul]
  • We got the four more sites, but not specific numbers, because sometimes they have to juggle sites around to accommodate bigger rigs, and Cedar is for the big ones.  However, we definitely have the sites already listed above.  (I explained that being PUs, we ll need as close access to the bathroom as possible.)

  •
  • The deposit is now $72, and is NOT added to the $18 rate, it s part of it.  (It didn t sound right to me that we save $5 with the Group rate, yet pay more than $5 deposit.)

  •
  • I ll pay the deposit ahead of time.  You all pay me, then I will give them one single check to cover the entire amount.  They don t want individuals paying them.

  •
  • The Clubhouse was fully booked.  Bummer.  The area between #7 and #8 is nice and big for our potluck(s), though!

CottonwooderI ve just sent our address out to you folks who are coming to the rally.  Please be sure to let me know if you didn t receive the e-mail.  It s hard to tell with the Private Message system here.

Please also be sure to include your screen name on the envelope or " memo"  section of the check.

QuoteSorry about not replying sooner, but I was out of town all last week. As much as it pains me to say this, go ahead and give our site to someone who s definitely going. Dave s trial still hasn t settled, and it may be one of those things that happens last minute...or not. It s only fair that someone who is confirmed has a spot. If we can make it, we ll find a site, even if it s a bit further away from everyone.

You can almost hear the bummed out tone in her post!  And they say the written word lacks the emotion of the spoken word.  Hah!

Lori -- Tell Dave I ve gone camping with my laptop and unforunately had to hole up in the pop-up to finish a transcript that those darn attorneys insist on expediting (do you have any idea how much that annoys us?), so he can hole up in yours prepping.  We ll even fold your door up while he s in it to lock him in to force him to work!  We ll shove him food and drink through the zippers.[:D]

Oh, I love all this lawyer talk!  <--said sarcastically while JUST GETTING into the lawyer s office at 6:15 sans dinner...

Not to forget all the transcription I had 10 days ago where I was home typing on Saturday while camping that weekend.  Oh, joy...

Anyone s kids starting back at school tomorrow?  That s the big day here in Ventura, and today was my 4th day in a row helping out at the school.  They ve been a construction zone all summer, as we ve been at home.  Construction crew is still there.

Is there a peaceful spot around here where I can collapse now?  Wake me up in time for Santa Paula.

CottonwooderPatricia I got your email. i m out of town and will mail you a check within a couple of days.

Oh, no!  A weekend where all of us in the legal field can talk about horror stories!  LOL    And bore the rest of the group to tears![: (]

In our good night phone call last night, I told Dave how sad I was that we had to let go of our site for this rally.  Then I told him that *no matter what* we were in for October!  Of course he has a trial on 10/20, so Trina, I told him of your solution--how he could just become a " trial-prepping-pop-up-recluse"  for the weekend and he just laughed and said " yeah, right."   I m not sure what that means! [&:]  So I ve decided that worse case scenario, if he won t let me tow the camper to VLR myself, he can tow it to the cg and then go back home, prep for his trial over the weekend and come back for Griffy and me on Sunday.  Heaven knows, I ve set that camper up so many times, I could do it in my sleep![8D]

oldmoose

CottonwooderPatricia, I mailed the check from NorCal yesterday.

Cottonwooder

oldmooseYou guys are great!  5 or 6 checks have already arrived.  Haven t opened envelopes yet, am just chucking them into the drawer for the time being.  Thanks, all! (It s fun trying to guess screen names from just the address label.)  [:)]

 Lori --

If you re comfortable towing it yourself, you know you d have plenty of people there willing to help you.  And if you wanted to, we could plan to caravan together and that way we could be behind or in front of you, in cell phone range, to make sure you didn t get lost, or wouldn t be alone if you had to pull over for a snack stop for Griffin, etc.  That s a possiblity.  You ll have a 45-minute drive for us to meet up (you know, there s an In N Out Burger off the 5 freeway near us -- good place to meet up, I think [8D]).  Give it some thought.  I m sure all these manly men will be happy to help you pop-up.  From what I saw in Malibu, you handled that pop-up pretty well.

What a great idea!  And Lori, you ll notice that no one has jumped into site #9.

 CottonwooderLori,

Similar thing happened to otter at an NNC rally.  She towed it to the campground, got out and said, " Can someone back this into the space and help me set it up."   It was up in record time.  With that new TV, it should tow like a charm.

 See you there.

CottonwooderLori, I will volunteer Randy to help set you up and back it in.  Nobody s taken #9 because we know you are gonna be there.
