I ran the mexican restaurant for Friday by Dan and he said thats fine (as he snickers and says..yeah camping next its a log cabin and room service). anytime between 5-6:30 keeping in mind the later it is the crankier the little ones get.

speaking of eating..is a potluck planned for Sat. nite?? not sure what I'd bring yet, but would bring something.

We're still in too! :D  Tricia, I'm assuming that since the dreaded "unpaid" is gone from my name, you got my check? ;)

We're in for Mexican food Friday night.  Eating around 6-ish is good so that the liitle ones don't get too ugly.

We'll do a homestyle potato/bacon/onion DO dish for Saturday morning breakfast and Paula's DO Potato souffle dish for Saturday evening.  The souffle will give Dave a chance to tell his favorite story about me sending him to the story for fried onions.     We had planned on deep-frying a turkey at this rally, but Dave has a trial starting on that Monday morning after the rally so we want to try to keep this trip simple.  If we are still able to go to the Ccacchuma rally (Dave has a trial starting 12/22 ), we'll fry a turkey there.

When:
 Friday, 6pm

Where:

Folks, it looks like we'll need reservations, so please post here ASAP so I have a head count when I call the restaurant sometime this coming week.

If 6pm is too early (we'd have to leave Far West around 10 minutes prior), let me know if you prefer 6:30pm.  I don't know what time y'all are planning to arrive at Far West.

Patricia, you can add 2 more to your dinner list.  Matt and I will be there.  6-ish sound good to us too.

Lori, Matt keeps asking if Dave can put his car seat next to Giffins when we go camping in our popup (this is said in a 2 year olds giberish).  Don't worry, I can un-hook the trailer this time cause Randy will be here to hook it back up, I don't have to depend on you guys this trip.  Dave was such a sport in Temecula.  It was like having 2 wives and 2 toddlers.

I am hoping to leave OC at noon on Friday.  I am taking Matt to pre-school so I can get packed up and ready to go.  Randy will run home from work and hook me up and Matt and I will be on our way.  These sites wouldn't happen to be pull-thru would they?  One can only hope.  I can now tow the PU but I still haven't backed it up yet.  Oh well, I guess there is a first for everything.

Do the sites have sewer? or are they water and electric only?

Patricia --

We have to cancel on this trip.  Emily does have soccer playoffs next Saturday for sure.  I hate when they give you a season schedule, and then leave off little things like the playoff weekend!  So if anyone wants our prime spot, it's yours.  Hopefully this will allow a last minute add-on.

Sorry you can't join us.

I am going to assume we will have a potluck on Saturday night, but don't hear much enthusiasm for a Saturday morning brunch. Any comments?

We're in for a sat a.m. breakfast.  I'll make a breakfast homestyle potato-onion-bacon DO dish.

I am in for breakfast on Saturday too.  I think I will do my camping donuts again.  They seemed to be a hit in Temecula with the kids whether they were young or old.

We're in for breakfast too, just haven't decided what.  (Limited to whatever we can scrounge off an empty supermarket shelf, LOL!  Day-um, it's getting bad out there!)

Anyone else for Mexican food for Friday dinner?  Will update that list when I have a moment.

Trina, bummer that you can't join us.  Is anyone interested in taking that spot?  DW, that posted earlier?  I'll call Far West to ask, but don't know how much, if any, of your $36 you'll get back.

oldmoose

OK, we're in for breakfast. I'll be making my creme soda biscuits. Butter and honey provided. I know what we're making for dinner, but don't know the name. Also making the pumpkin dump cake with Cool Whip for dessert.

Patricia, please count on us for dinner on Friday evening. Just need directions. I'll be setting up the trailer Friday afternoon. Paula will be in later.

Had to but a new battery. Afew months ago, I ran it too low and it wouldn't hold the charge. Bought a Group 27 battery and ready to dry camp again.

We're ready for Friday also.

We're in for both Sat AM & PM potluck.  I'll probably bring donuts for AM and Crockpot Mac-n-cheese for the evening.  I  hope this is alright for everyone.

Are small kids ok for the Mexican restaurant?  I have a 3yr & 17mos twins.

See you this weekend.
