What if everyone that wants to goes to the restaurant but we just sit at tables of 8 or so.  So technically we're not a large group, just a few medium groups.  Do you think that will work?  Can you tell I don't want to cook Friday night?

That could work.  We'll just play it by ear on this end.

If we turn the other way out of the campground driveway, we could go to a really cute, very casual Italian place.  Since I'm the navigator while GSM x2 drives, I'll just tell him to turn left as we leave the campground.  That way he'll turn right since he knows I'm directionless and always say the opposite of what I mean.  Then we'll see that cute little place called Boccoli's and I'll say, "I told you to turn left, but since we're here, let's eat!"

Joan, Mike wants to book a table for just us, which I'm hesitant to do solely because I'm sure someone will join us!  But since Familia Diaz really is busy on Friday nights and we don't want to wait for 45 minutes, we'll have to book a table.  The number is 525-2813 if you want to snag one for yourself.

Mike was also recommended another place that is said to be even better: La Terraza (also Mexican), by the oil museum, 525-0528.  We've never been to that one, so don't mind trying it.  Tomorrow morning we'll decide which place we want to eat at.

Patty e-mailed to say they were planning to grab a pizza somewhere tomorrow night, so it looks like we just may end up scattered in a few small groups. :)

This was posted several pages back, so am bringing it to the front:

If you arrive before 1pm, there's a chance your site may not have been vacated yet by the group that's been there this week.

Re. checking in, just let them know that you're with the SC Camper group in Cedar, and that you already know your site number.  If they ask the individual name everything is booked under, it's Mike Watling.  You shouldn't have to pay a thing, other than $2 for each dog.

Great minds think alike!! before I got to your post I was telling Dan the same thing. Well as you can tell I'm up late and all the food is packed.
I don't mind too much the $13 for Dan & I, but $8 for the kids...Kara doesn't even eat $2 worth of food. Kevin is a much bigger eater but not $8 worth

I'm NOT cooking Friday. I'm going to call and reserve a Table for 6PM
or 5:30 if they seem to think its better.

I'm reserving it for 8 people  we are only 4 so if someone wants to join us let me know when you get to Far West.  I will not be online anymore.

See ya all there.

GET WELL GRIFFY....WE'LL MISS YOU (and your mom & Dad too ;) )

Hey I just realized...I'm leaving TODAY :W

Just a clarification on Cottonwooders direction.

The 10th Street/Highway 150 split is about a mile from the freeway. 4th light to be exact.

If you find yourself stopped at a stop sign and ready to head up a hill, you missed the turnoff. No problem, just turn right at the stop sign and left at the T-intersection.

See you all there.

Just occurred to me that neither Griff nor Matt will be camping this weekend.  Seems appropriate...can't have one without the other.

Oh, hope no one minds, but I invited my friends Connie and Warren to join us for potluck.  Connie is an excellent cook, so I am certain that she'll help us meet the mandatory TOO MUCH FOOD standard of our rallies.

Really?  I copied that straight off their Website.  You might want to tell them when you arrive.

 OK, do what TOS says.

We're meeting in a matter of hours, and I still haven't packed a thing, nor can I even start until getting back home from work at noon.  You can tell we don't have a long drive ahead of us, eh?

oldmoose

We're packed and I'm off to the doctor. Then a bite to eat and it's on the road again.

It looks like you will have beautiful weather this weekend.  Have a great time, enjoy yourselves, and have a margarita (or 2 or 3...) for us!  :)

Scott, you are so right.  Griff and Matt were inseparable at Vail Lake.   I never unhooked the trailer from the van in Temecula and Lori and Dave took us under their wing and took us with them where ever they went (I am so glad Dave bought a car that seats 8).  Their carseats were right next to each other and they jabbered endlessly.  Those little boys are like "2 peas in a pod."  Lori, we are in so much trouble when they get bigger!!

See all of you Saturday evening.  It will be me and the 3 kids.
