While looking for info on repairing liftng mechanism s on google, I found this site.  I have used our temp membership to read manyof the posting and have gleaned a lot of good ideas.
We hope to be on the road in a year or so.
The pup we bought is a 90 viking in desperate need of tlc.  Lift system broke, canvas rotten, and don t know what else.  For $100, we couldn t pass it up.
We are in east central Mo and haven t seen many posts from this area.
Once the pup is road ready, will need to look for a TV as the 91 Escort is a bit small.
Looked on FAQ for the code list of anacronyms and found nothing.
 Have figured out several
We will probably sign on for a longer period of time.
This is great for newbies.  Just wanted to thank whomever thought it up.

You re going to get an earful on this one! You ll definately need something bigger, the Escort just doesn t have the towing capacity to handle the trailer safely![:o]

shay63Many people here have websites, with much info about popups (PU). Probably the best is Tim5055 s, www.title-3.com

Just go to the members  List (see top right of any Arvee Club page), and click on anyone s name that has a little house beside it, meaning they have a homepage.

That said, yes, I ll admit that I lurk on other boards, but you ll find mostly expert info and friendly folks here. I ll openly admit that I think many of the " free"  boards have good info, but we go deeper here.

shay63Welcome, Shay!  Congratulations on your purchase.  If anyone can help you get that PU up and towing, the brilliant minds here can!  [;)]

Just ask, and an answer will appear.  Shoot, sometimes you don t even need to ask and the answer appears out of nowhere!  [:D]

I would not tow a PU with an escort from my driveway to anywhere. Maybe to neighbours driveway, very slowly.

If you let us know the model number, GVWR of your PU, and how many people are in your family, some of us might be able to help you with minimum specifications for your TV.

shay63Back again after some vacation time etc.  In response to the last post, the PU is I believe an SP195.  Weight will be 1400-1500lb.  Normally 2 adults (Ma and Pa Kettle) and occasionally 1-2 grandchildren for the short trips.  We hope to travel light.
