 Just an update.  Our son called yesterday and told us that his mission in Kuwait/Iraq was finished.  They were cleaning the equipment and vehicles getting them ready to transport back to the U.S.  However, the written orders haven t been sent down to the person in charge of them.  The 259th are justing sitting around waiting on there paperwork.  He does have e-mail now I really like this.   He also said  they have a lot of soldiers without jobs to do over there.  Looks like we are heading to Texas on August 10th, 2003.

 Mahaffey-FamilyKnowing the military like I do they are famous for the ole hurry up and wait routine.  Seeing that you son is about to come is a clear sign that other GI s will be able to come hope to be with their families.  I shall and will keep your son in my prayer s along with the many other service members that I pray for daily.  I wish him a swift return back to you.

 Mahaffey-FamilyLots of military are waiting to come home.  When is the big question.  I hope he has a safe and happy return and be sure to thank him for protecting our freedom.

 Mahaffey-FamilyThe group home has been delayed until August 15th, 2003.  However, My son Phillip and a few of the men are in South Kuwait waiting on the plane to bring them back to the U.S.  So he is coming home a little earlier.  (any day now).  Keep all our men and women in your hearts and prayers.  Thank you all again for the prayers and kind words that you have gave my family.
