I have a Qwest 12A 2003 with electric brakes, and the manual indicates that after the first 200 miles the PU should be taken to the dealer to have the brakes checked.  Has anyone done this or is this something that can be done by me? I do my own brake work on my TV and other vehicles. Any advice would be appreciated.

Joe BuskirkAnyone who does even minor maintenance can do this themselves.

This link is for the Dexter axle manual that your trailer is most likely equipped with. [link=http://www.dexteraxle.com/pdf_files/service_literature/pdfs/6_Electric%20Brakes.pdf]Electric Brakes[/link] This is a PDF file so you ll need Adobe Acrobat.

See the Brake Adjustment section starting on page 8 for the procedure for adjusting the brakes.
