$14/night.  No hook-ups.  Flush toilets and drinking water located at several sites in each loop.  No hot water in the bathrooms but there were electric outlets and lights.  Located at almost 5,000 feet so the weather is pleasantly cool.  There are three loops, one for RV s, one for TT s and Pop-ups, and a third one for tents.  We arrived about 2:30 PM on Friday afternoon and had no problem getting a spot.  The campground remained less than half full all weekend.  It was the quietest campground with the most secluded sites we have stayed at so far and we will definetely return.  The Pisgah Inn is across the highway and it has a restaurant and gift shop.  There is also a gas station there.  The area is close to Brevard, NC.  Lots of hiking, biking trails and some good trout fishing in the area.  We don t fish so can t really comment on the truth of it.  There is tubing, horseback riding, and a sliding rock for kids of all ages nearby.  Beautiful park and a great get-away on those hot muggy summer days.
Attention all those from SC (especially Columbia):  it is a 3 1/2 hour drive (includes a stop for gas and lunch) to get to a lot of the campgrounds on the Blue Ridge.  Takes us almost that long to get to Table Rock and Oconee here in SC.  Why not go for a change of pace and to escape from the heat.

I ve been giving thoughts to staying on the BRP down on the Carolina side, as I ve explored about everything there is to explore on the Virginia side. Have never done the NC end of the BRP and understand the mountains are much higher!!! That s good info to have about the campgrounds, particularly now that I m pulling a rather large Hybrid around instead of a PU...
