NCSunshineCampingboaters-thanks for the reminder to put down awning if gone for the day with a chance of storms or if a storm comes up.

Angelsmom10-I would go and help gladly but it is a 4 1/2 hour trip one way, that is just too much for me in one day.

Ron-thanks for the thought we do have a separate policy just on the camper.

Papaso - in the manual and from another Niagara owner they say the rule is " First in, Last out"

I have also had them help with setup and breakdown.  Really and truly thanks to  all of you for your input.

Papaso

NCSunshineI loaned my pop-up to some Friends from work. When they were done after a week they gave me a hundred dollars which I gave to my wife. The pop-up was fine and the wife was happy.

hbfc6Glad to hear a good story about loaning out the PU.  The Preacher said he wanted to rent it and I told them they could just borrow it.  It doesn t matter to me, it is up to them if they want to give any money I don t expect it though.

NCSunshineJulia, a suggestion about any money...tell him to give it to the church, especially if you do not need the money (need and can use are two different things). Only my thoughts...Paula

NCSunshineThe first time we used a PU was about thirty years ago when we borrowed from our family doctor, Dr. Frankenstein but I told my husband when we bought ours that I was not willing to lend it out.  He lent his out for years  with no damage to it from anyone.
After camping in a tent four times my son and his wife still cannot remember to bring what they need to prepare a meal or put up a clothes line. No way whould I expect her to remember anything about the PU and I have little more faith in my son.

That is a GREAT idea and exactly what I am going to do if they do offer money.

NCSunshinechances are if he is a preacher and not with a big parish...he will need to keep the money to put towards his new camper...[:D]

Opie431Opie, i would never lend my camper out not to my kids or anyone...that way if something goes wrong...its either my or the dhs fault...

C. Hains

Opie431When I bought my camper last summer I told my kids they could use it if they wanted to.  I figured it was an investment and it may as well wear out with use rather than the lack thereof!  The only one who has taken me up on it is my youngest son and his family - my other two " kids"  aren t campers.  My youngest takes good care of it and the only casualty so far is a cracked hubcap.  He also winterizes it for me and best of all when I come home from a trip he comes over and backs it into its parking place for me!!!!!  (And occasionally he forgets to take out all the beer he packed for HIS trip, so it does have its advantages![;)])
