to make sure I have them right.  It is the list for setting up and breaking down.

 SETTING UP POP-UP
 1.   Before unhooking from vehicle level side to side.
 2.   Put chocks under wheels.
 3.   Unhook from vehicle.
 4.   Level front to back.
 5.   Release all 4 hooks for top.
 6.   IF you want to USE AWNING, open it when you crank it to a comfortable height for you to set up.
 7.   Crank up top.
 8.   Unlock stepper door.
 9.   Put down stabilizers.
 10.   Take any large items out of front trunk before pulling out front bed.
 11.   Pull out bed, pull down bar supports, put end on peg, hold and push bar forward while lifting on bed.  Repeat for back bed.
 12.   Unlatch and pull out slide-out.
 13.   Lift sink and stove into place.  Release vanity from ceiling.
 14.   Plug in electrical cord (outside and inside) turn on A/C.
 15.   Inside use insert Shepard poles into holes and push up frame for beds and dinette.  Lock poles in place.
 16.   Unsnap the straps on door, from the outside pull door down into place.  From inside latch each side at top then Velcro door.
 17.   Hook up water(have someone inside in case faucets are turned on).
 18.   Hook up sink and shower (if used) drains into containers or sewer drain.
 19.   Light hot water heater if you plan to use it.
 20.   Attach the cords under the beds for the canvas.
 21.   Velcro and snap canvas on slide-out.
 22.   Set up dinette. (I have found it easier to place the back end of table on the silver ledge, then lift up and set legs into place.  Doesn?t slip as bad.)
 23.   Set up shower and potty if wanted.

 BREAKING DOWN POP UP
(Personally I leave the A/C on until I am ready to pop down the top)
 1.   Unhook water and drain faucets, turn them wide open until water runs out.
 2.   Cut off water heater if used.
 3.   After taking out all items,
 4.   Break down dinette, bottom cushions go under table on floor, one back cushion goes on sofa with sofa back laying side by side, and the other back cushion standing on edge in front of sofa, shepard pole goes on floor beside bottom cushions.
 5.   Take down shepard poles on the beds, lay them diagonally under mattress.
 6.   Hook vanity back to ceiling.
 7.   Break down shower if used.
 8.   Put green rugs on floor side by side where sink/stove will set.
 9.   Unlatch door and snap back in place on ceiling.
 10.   Unplug A/C and put cord up on ceiling.
 11.   Set stove/sink on green rugs, make sure it is completely on the rugs.
 12.   WHEN SLIDING BEDS AND SLIDE-OUT IN, IF YOU MEET RESISTANCE STOP AND CHECK TO BE SURE THERE IS NOTHING ON THE TRACKS.
 13.   FIRST, unsnap and lift velcro off slide-out, push in and latch (carefully watch that the canvas does not get pinched when sliding in),
 14.   BE SURE TO LEAVE THE CANVAS HANGING OUT FROM SLIDE OUT UNTIL AFTER SLIDING IN BEDS.
 15.   Unhook canvas on front bed, fold in and slide in.
 16.   Go inside and pull canvas to center of bed.
 17.   Unhook canvas on back bed, fold in and slide part way in (so you can still get inside).
 18.   Go inside and pull canvas to center of bed without pulling it off.
 19.   Slide rest of the way in.
 20.   Remember to load heavy in front trunk to help with sway.
 21.   Put anything door opening that needs to go there.  Close and lock stepper door.
 22.   Lift stabilizers.
 23.   Start cranking down top, and pushing canvas in all the way around camper.  IF THERE IS ANY RESISTANCE, CHECK TO SEE WHAT IS IN THE WAY.
 24.   After the top is cranked down, you may have to push down a little bit to latch the 4 hooks.
 25.   Latch the front trunk after loading.
 26.   Hook to vehicle, then remove chocks.

Let me know of any changes I need to make.

NCSunshineGood job! Anything about the refrigerator?

YellowXterra

NCSunshineI never open the camper door until I pull out the beds and put the supports under them. that way you don t have to worry about someone sitting something on the beds or kids jumping up on the beds with out supports.

Acts 2:38 girl

NCSunshinemaybe to check to see if the camper door is locked?  DH always leaves it hooked open so he doesn t forget to lock it!

Sorry - I see you ve got that!  good list!

NCSunshineGood list, but aren t you the one thats letting the Preacher borrow your pu? After reading all the info....I would be alittle nervous for someone to use it. Maybe that was a good suggestion for you to go down to help set-up....its sounds like you have a real nice pu. Just my two cents[:)][:o]

 NCSunshineHi Julia,

I don t see anything about turning the water pump on and off.

Otherwise, it looks like a great list.  I m going to print out a copy after I add the bit about the water pump and switching the fridge to/from AC.

So the trailer doesn t flood in transit if the faucet gets turned on accidentally.
It s only an issue if you re traveling with a load of water or you have a hot water heater.

NCSunshineThanks for the other suggestions. Forgot about the switching fridge to and from A/C.

Yes I m the one letting the Preacher borrow the camper.  He just wanted a list to refer to since he had never had one with some of the options we had.  I told him I would make a step by step just so he would have a list with everything on it.

Plus since my DH rarely camps with me, it is going to be a list that whoever goes with me can help me setup and take down.  Although my nine year old DD is learning to help, sometimes I just let the other person watch the other two DD s while my 9 yr old and I setup.  Good practice for her.

DUH...I get it now...ok, so i m blonde...[;)]  We DO alwasy make sure it s off...we ve only used city hook ups so far so turning it on hasn t been something we ve done. I read it as meaning, You stand there turning it on and off....not making sure it was on when needed, and off when not needed....
