Any Good Tips for keeping the Camper looking newer while storing outside?

Spraying WD40 on the metal?  Waxing the Finish?  Anyone go down this road with any luck?

TheWallRocks

Joe GleasonI think just keeping it clean and waxed is fine.  We store out Bayside outside and after a weekend of camping it is amazing how dirty the thing gets outside..... especially the ABS roof.  The best cleaner I have found is Castrol Super Clean...... takes the crud right off the roof and sides...... looks like new.

It s spent 2 winters outside and still looks great.

Joe GleasonWash it often.  The dirt always seems to get on the PU when it is parked at the back of our driveway.

Joe GleasonWhat kind of Wax do you use to keep it coated and protected?

Any spay for the Metal?  I mention a metal spay because I use a " reel"  mower and found that if I don t spray it, it rusts up!... Not sure I want to spray the metal on the camper and start collecting grease...

Joe GleasonI don t put any wax on the roof or box.

Joe Gleasonwax it before first trip and clean after every or every other trip.

although ours lives in the garage. for the most part.

Jo Ann

Joe Gleasonoh yeah...and we come home and air out the mattresses and stuff every other trip.

cuz for some reason, condensation builds up on some trips.

Jo AnnAre you talking about condensation inside the PU while camping? We have that problem occasionaly ( all of that heavy breathing hee hee) and to help minimize the problem we leave the roof vent open a little bit at night or one of the one of the canvas window cracked a bit. During the day we leave the windows open and have a couple of fans to circulate the air.

 good luck and happy camping
