Is it possible to push it by hitch at all ? I think ours is around 2,000 Lbs or so loaded, would I be able to get it backwards into the garage, unhitch and manouver it to its own corner ? DW and DS would give me a hand if necessary, is that something feasible ? With a hitch weight of 150 Lbs, I would think we should be able to do that, besides the hitch rests ona  small moving wheel right ?

 Soo excited [:D]

birolYes, if you can get it into the garage and there is no slope once it s in, you can move it around fine. My popup weighs ~2300 lbs and I maneuver it around to it s precise spot (I taped off a square around the tire patch so I know exactly where it needs to be), and that s on carpet, which the tongue wheel doesn t really like to roll on. But then again, I have muscles like you can t believe. Just kidding.

But the hitch weight has nothing to do with it. You re pushing the whole thing around, unless you were planning to lift up the hitch like a wheelbarrow and move it around. [8D]

I was thinking I would have to lift it up and was starting to build muscles, till I remembered that thereis a wheel in the hitch. I will see if there is a slope in the garage.

 Thanks for the positive info.

Sorry buddy.. that is going to be a big pain.. I don t have a wheel I have a flat pad (my change) and the tounge weight is closer to 180-ish.. You are also picking up in a very bad spot.. Too low for a leg lift, too high for your back.. If I try to move it by hand, I will pay for it in my back.. You can buy a wheel that will slip onto the foot, But I hate the wheels.. If a chock moves they can roll..

So, where you " may"  be able to do it, don t count on really moving it around.. it is enough of a chore to " nudge it to hitch her up if I am off with the trailer ball.
Keep in mind, the hitch has been re-constructed (for the better might I add) and it  weighs more at the ball for real life lifting.. I know it don t seem to make a lot of since.. Being a longer lever it should be lighter.. But on my write-up, you can see my real life weights I did through out the construction of the new hitch

No, he s not kidding. I ve seen him in person--- he s the " Ah-nold"  of Nick-Neff-Cough. Nobody else could have handled such a super-human task as the Gold Rush rally. I sure wouldn t wanna mess with him. (How s that for sucking up to our club webmaster? [;)] )

Birol, since Lee s trailer (hey, it ain t yours *yet* [;)] ) doesn t have a wheel on the tongue jack, you can easily move it with one of those dolly jacks available at Harbor Frieght for about 50-60 bucks. Just be sure to get the one that has the larger " knobby"  pneumatic tires and is rated for 600 lbs. I have one, and use it all the time to position my trailer " just so"  on it s narrow concrete pad next to our house--- a job too tight for my crew-cab truck. We even take the dolly jack to *spin* the trailer at certain campgrounds for a better view at the camp site. And I m running about 370 lbs. tongue weight.

It would make positioning the trailer in your garage a piece of cake.

Turn Key

birolShould be able to.  DW and I have done it and we had to get it over about a 1"  lip.

birol

birolOk, So it is still " their"  PU (Of course it is I was just kidding), and I can t push it around. That thingie one of you mentioned sounds good to me .........

I need to be able to move it around so the garage can take the windstar as well.
