After 11 Turkish soldiers  being detained by American forces (yeah there was no need for it, we are allies) Four German soldiers tried toa rrest a Turkish peackeeping force Captain in Bosnia. As I understand normally soldiers are not allowed outside their base camp, but this guy was working in a group which allowed him to roam freely , sort of a liasion officer I guess. Anyways he gets asked why he is out by two german soldiers, he proves his idendity and tells them to contact the base to get confirmation that he is authorized to be where he is. Two germans try to detain and get his hand gun. he roughs them up, so germans calls for reinforcements, two more german soldieers arrive and now try to arrest the guy, He ends up roughing them up but, come on 1 to 4, as the germans start to take the upper hand, the public doesn t like what they see and start attacking the Germans soldiers. Germans end up escaping to their base, captain gets hospitalized for minor injuries, and takes an alcohol test just in case he is accused of being drunk.

The german commander ends up visiting the Turkish commander stating how sorry he is and not to blow this out of proportion.

I thought it was interesting .....We are not barbarians ...... oh well ...

birolsee...one good thing from being a newspaper boy. ;-)

do you use a bike to deliver, it would be healthier and help your mood too i think.

birol100 newspapers on Saturdays and 200 on Sunday ..... Not an easy feat with a bike. I drive hosue to house, espacially Saturday is a very large area.

Sundays I wake up at 4:30, put the newspapers together, 5 o lock I start distributing, 6:30 I come back home, pick up the kids and the wife, and we all distribute the remaining 75 or so, becuase I am dead tired by then. And we go to a 25/7 Supermarket, look at their specials, buy anything we need, usually find discounted bacon, buy some and have a feast around 8 am :)

 No biking route mine is.

And trucking is, I go to a place at 2:30 in the morning with the minivan, fill it up with 1,200 to 1,00 newspapers (depends on the route), and distribute it to carriers like us before 5 am.  In this case wife and children wake up early , make the newspapers and when I arrive we go out all together, because I am tired after lifting 1,200 ro 1,800 newspapers twice .... One to the minivan , one time to the carriers doors. It is a demanding job.

I thought my mood was pretty ok ......[&:]
