Turn KeyOnly five bytes, wait 6 bytes :) Nothing in this modern age :)

Turn KeyPlease and thank you are both signs of common courtesy and respect.  It s very appropriate.  Now y all mind your manners.[8D][;)]  I was taught good manners a very early in life but I do not think anyone is too old to learn.  When people take the time to notice that you are polite and do this toward them, they will return the same to you.  Treat others the way you want to be treated and it will be returned to you, in most cases.  If not, move on and chalk it up to as a bad experience from the other person.  So, with this, I thank you TurnKey for all you have contributed here and as an oldtimer myself, I know that you ve been around here forever.[:)]

Turn Key

 B-flatAw, shucks!  Thanks " B-flat" .

B-flat

Not to steal the thread, but, are you calling him old here ? [8D][8D][8D]

Turn KeyJust one other thought to add to the mix:

In the past, I have asked for info or advice and have always gotten great responses.  On a number of occasions, when I ve posted to thank everyone for their great posts, it kills the thread, even thoughI was hoping that more people would post their thoughts, advice, etc.  So maybe people don t say thanks out of fear that it ll make potential posters think the original poster received all the info they needed or wanted and isn t interested in any more posts.

Of course, the obvious solution is to write a thanks post but include a note letting future readers that their opinions and info are still welcome.

Good point ...... This might explain the thread killing post mystery under certain circumstances !

B-flat

griffsmom.....so when you don t want further info, just say thanks and that s enough for now.[;)][;)][;)]

If I had something to contribute to a thread, which the thread started finished that way, I would be offended to be honest. I would never ever reply to that persons threads.

 Color me confused.

If someone asked a question, got an answer, and then said, " Thanks, I found what I needed, that s enough for now"  why would you be offended?
