 angelsmom10Good information, although I wish it covered some of the popular trees in our area.  I didn t see pecan or mesquite on there, which is usually what we have here.
 
 I like the measurements on volumes of wood too, as the names are a little different.  What was listed as a " face cord"  I grew up calling a " rick"  of wood.
 
 Brian has another column too, he would add, smores value, basically does the wood adversly impact the flavor of the smore.  This is a very important criteria for him, as he will not cook or eat smores over for instance, a pine fire.  He says it makes the smores taste like cresote.
