birolSpeaking of the chili vat, it seems to me that Birol has never been on one of our wonderful cyber camping trips.    Do you think we should organize something so that he can take part in this " Rite of Camping Ritual" ?   Even tho ole Sparky is now gone, our new camping buddy, Lil Spanky is chomping at the bit to get some camping done, and I know she would love to meet Buford.   My fry bread kettle is all cleaned out (after the last run-in with those boy scouts) and I would be willing to bet that our Canadian friends would be glad to  borrow  that beer truck that they brought across Mackinac last time.   My DH is mowing the lawn right now, but when he s done I ll ask him to put the lawn mower motor back on the roof of the PU so that we can install the helicopter blades.   Someone should get ahold of SuezyQue, we can t go without her.

birolSometimes, my friend, when we can t go camping for some reason, (usually it s in the winter when we all have cabin fever) we arrange a camping trip that we take without ever leaving home.   Several of us with wild (or wierd) imaginations get together figuratively online and create a camping trip that has no limits.   I didn t remember if you had ever been involved in one of these, but B-Flat, NightOwl, Topcat, LeighAnn, SuezyQue and a whole bunch of others have chimed in on some of these wacky " camping trips" .   I was just thinking that maybe we could create one just for something to do, even tho it isn t winter.    Some of the references in my post have to do with things that were dreamed up for a few other " trips" .   (No, we don t need drugs for these adventures)

birolok, i M GAME!  It s time for a " Cyber Campout."   I m cranking up the chili vat which has been in storage up at Chubs  house.  Maybe someone can find out where Buford went and Spanky is welcome to follow along behind the PU hauling the chili vat.  Where is the Cyber Campout to originate and what route shall we take?  I am sure that a big PU parade down to the PUT headquarters would be good advertising for Dave and all.  Maybe Steve would like to join in the fun or at least do a bit of reading here.  It could be an all night cyber campout with those taking turns in shifts to keep things moving.  The beer truck can join us on the route.  OK folks, I am heading from NC over to byrdr1 and then on down to wahoonc and to get Flyfisherman and from there on down to FL to find Camper Jones and get some of her  recipes to try out in the trailer load of dutch ovens I am pulling behind the popup.  Before this is over there will be every kind of food available.  Watch out for me as I head down I-95 south past the border.  As I go along I will be adding to the chili vat.......(birol please join in as we travel all over the country describing what is happening along the way...we will all be traveling on this fast paced cyber campout, virtual reality type campout.)  Now, the popup is all hitched up and I have checked the tongue weight and mounted the chili vat right on top of the popup.  My PUT sticker is on the top left of the roof and rear spare tire cover.  Now I am hitching up the trailer of dutch ovens to the back of the popup so I can feed all the people that will be joining us.  By the time we go all around the country and then back down to Dave s place there will be quite a convoy.  I am on the road and all is going well.......[8D][8D][8D]

wiininkweB-flat...if you re heading down I95 to where Dave is..you better be sure you have at least three in your car so you can hit the HOV lanes ! LOL....I m headed to 95 myself shortly (just going home...)  and the traffic here is a BEAR!!    Hmm...I m gonna be sniffing out that chili on my way home!

wiininkweRick mounted those helicopter blades for me, so I ll be able to lift off with our Yukon.  I guess I ll head out in the morning, and fly southeast till I see the steam from the chili vat, (unless I get it confused with the mist over the Smokies like I did last year, wasn t that a hoot?) and then I ll set down and join the convoy.   Has anyone heard from suezyQue?   We ll need her to keep those boy scouts occupied when we settle down for a snack in the middle of the night, or they ll eat all the junk food at once.   Also, she has all that left over material from when she made her AAR, so we can have her whip up some kind of white canvas robes for our " cult"  meetings around the fire.    I have a big old washing machine tub that I have filled with fry bread dough, and my kettle is nestled over the top of it, so the dough can rise.   It should be ready by breakfast time.   I ll ask NightOwl to get that Trailmanor on the road, but you know, it takes her forever to pack, she just can t make up her mind what to take and what to leave behind.   Just so she doesn t forget her melon baller.   Be careful not to let Topcat get too close to the chili vat, last time he ate so much that we had to tie a rope on him and let him float above us like a Macy s parade float.   That was not a pretty sight.

wiininkweLast year you guys by-passed SW Ohio -- I don t even remember if you even made it to OH[&:][&:][&:][&:]

Ohio Chapter of GLPUC is the party folks of PU s

wiininkweI have headed out and passed by byrdr1 and wahoonc and no one was home but their PUs were gone, so they must already be camping somewhere or at a NASCAR event, especially since AirAngel isn t camping I know it won t rain on our cyber campout.  Now I am heading South toward I-95 and will travel all states in the South and East and cut across country.  I think I have spotted something looking like some kind of funny looking helicopter made from lawn mower blades.  It s hovering kind of low and looking to land on the road in front of me.  Ooooooh, looks like some kind of bread in a big washing machine tub and the lid just blew off in front of me.  Oppppppps, almost jack knifed the PU trying to dodge the lid and a whole bunch of chili just spilled all over the highway but not to worry, I will stop off at the quick mart at SOB (South of the Border).  The signs say it is only 39 miles to there and the weather is " Chili today, Hot tamale!" [:D]

wiininkwePlease try to list the cities you are heading to

B-flat

wiininkweI have no idea where this will take me.  Will all those in SC, FL and GA please let me know where you want to join me.  Anyone wanting to join this campout had better zero in on me as I head south on I-95.  I ll be heading down toward CamperJones place in Fl and see if she will join us and then onto other areas.  I can always turn the camper around and head back North or cross the mountain.  Ole Sparky is barking at the back of the PU.  Those helicopter blades are causing the chili to splash out of the chili vat.  Uh-Oh, there s a whole parade of big rigs up just ahead, so I will have to slow down and try not to go where they are going.   A whole box of Lynx levelers just fell out on the road.  Now, I must stop to get those.  Oh and look, a box of Pie Irons just like the ones advertised on the main page of PUT.  What a find.  I know for sure that Topcat is going to have a good time on this campout.  Suzeyque will wonder where I got these for free and no coupon clipping.[;)]  OK, I am past South of the Border, is anyone else nearby or do I have to turn around and head North?

birol

B-flatI am waiting for Fiifyter-emt to empty the PU, so that I can hop into the WIndjam and fly east and hitch it up ! Only  a matter of weeks now before I can join the convoy !
