wiininkweSorry about the mess with those blades, B-Flat, I was going to go east on the Ohio turnpike, and then cut over and start heading south, but I got just inside Penn and ran (literally) into those dang big power generating windmills they have there and somehow loosened a screw someplace (I know, right?!) so that I couldn t control the pitch when I started to make a turn.  I stayed low til I saw the steam from the chili, and then kinda overshot you.  I meant to come up behind, not set down in front.   Anyway, I think we should swing by Panama City Beach and pick up Strawick, she has all the firestarters I think.   Who is going to grab Birol on their way thru, we need to have him with us, can t wait for him to get that PU from FF-EMT.   Someone has to hold the bag on the Snipe hunt, and I think he d be the best at it.  Lil Spanky has been keeping the flies away from the fry bead dough, so that it should be just right by the time we settle down for dinner.   Any body have a good idea where that should be?

NightOwl

wiininkweThe thing about the CyberCamp Trips is, we needed B-Flat to come back and join in.  As Toni and I and Al well-know, Nancy has the biggest  and bestest Cast Iron Vat of all of us (well taken care of and always filled with something good to go allong with her Super Southern CornBread.  and believe me, this cornbread is NOT courtesy of The Jiffy Company!)  Also, she has a sense of humor that wont stop and that is an absolute necessity with this gang!

Birol, we expect you to bring  the Turkish Coffee.  I d make it but you have a genetic advantage over me and besides  oldest DD  has my brass  Turkish coffee grinder and wont give it back, the little brat.

We need that delicious thick rich coffee to keep us  awake and alert as we roll down the highways day after day counting and counting.  Oh, good grief--I thought we were counting mile markers and it is just Birol s post count as he races Tracy for First Place  [;)]

wiininkwe

wiininkweOOOOHHH, Turkish coffee!!!!!    I long for a nice hot thick strong demitasse cup of the wonderful stuff.   (Don t tell Birol, I really love the coffee, but the electronic injection on my tow vehicle has got something stuck in it, and it s affecting the amount of lift that I m getting as I go across the mountains.   The coffee eats sludge like that right up.)   NightOwl, please bring your Boob Seeger tapes,  we can use them in the mornings for revelie.   And, we can also do the Underwear Dance to them.

wiininkweNightOwl, you somehow missed the part about a whole trailer load of cast iron cookware hooked to the back of the popup.  All have been seasoned to perfection just for this trip.  Those who plan to join in can check it out at the Lodge website.  At this point, I have been busy watching the road ahead as we head on down through SC and Ga to pick up NightOwl and into FL.  Yaaaaaaahh! I love Panama City Beach.  We ll for sure go by there...wasnt  that the place where Cream Cheese Chicken originated? Oh, we must have a whole wash pot full of that!  Well, now NightOwl has hooked up with us and so there are now 3 of us in the parade t FL heading toward Panama City Beach.  I could use some of that coffee right now...birol, where are you?  I thought there was a stowaway  behind the popup.  I just couldn t see over the chili vat and all that steam..yep that really is birol hiding back there in the trailer of cast iron cookware.....

Does this mean that there is a thread that you won t be posting too?????[:o][:o][:o]

 No, not a chance.[;)]

birol

angelsmom10But I can t contribute, I lack the experience to do so [&:] It would be like my posts in Nick Neff Cough, each one a thread killer [>:]

wiininkwe

wiininkweBirol, you need no experience to post to a cyber camping trip!!!!   Just say what ever comes into your sweet little mind, (about camping) and embellish it in any way you want.   (Just be aware that this forum is moderated)   Are you gonna set up the moat in those great big cast iron tubs, or are ya gonna just use them in case we run into tropical storms down near the Gulf?   They do make good shelters, altho the local don t seem to be able to withstand the beer, chili, frybread and Cream cheese chicken fumes that waft from them, no matter how many times we take them through the drive thru car wash.    Last time, the fire under the pot we were using as a hot tub got away from FF-EMT, and we had to call out the boys from where ever we happened to be, and they all passed out from the green froth that was bubbling merrily on the water.   We had to save them, by sending Buford into the pot to drag them up from the bottom, by their bottoms, one by one.   Lucky for us that the foam induced amnesia, they were going to charge us all for new fireman pants, but they forgot.

wiininkwebirol, quit hiding out in that trailer of cast iron pots.  Get up here and ride up front.  Now that NightOwl is back there behind wiininkwe I am going to need help in finding my next spot.  We need to put in for the night around here somewhere in GA.  Going down out of these mountains of Georgia is kind of tricky.  I think a good stopping place would be down around that Bluegrass place called Hoofer s or maybe down at Boxcar Pinion s farm.  We could all campout there for free while hearing some great music and setting up for supper.  I need a rest for the night.  Those lynx levelers are going to come in handy for camping out in the field and we could make some chili sandwiches with the pie irons advertised on PUT.  You know , coat with some non-stick spray and add bread and fill with some chill without much juice, and fry over the campstove or campfire.  Oh, I could do some corn bread in those things too, but I had better use that big cast iron skillet which is back there in the trailer of pots.  MMmmmmmmm, nothing like some home cooked southern cornbread to go with the chili.  I could make a meal off of that...could even make a meal off the cornbread and with some milk in a glass (put that in for all us Southern folks that will know what I m talking about.Ha.)  Yep, I am going to campout for the night and take a nap.  Somebody is going to have to keep things going tonight while I am resting and tomorrow morning I will get us back on the cyber trail heading down to Sltrawick s place so that we can get some Cream Cheese chicken.[;)]

Sounds like the Beverly Hillbillies when they came to CA[:D][:D]

wiininkwe

birolWow, if the neighbors see it they will love it,and if they want they can come along!!!   Nancy, if n you re gonna rest, please put your feet up and I ll bring you my specialty.   Indian Tacos!!!   A nice big hot piece of frybread with chili poured over it, and then liberally sprinkled with chopped tomatoes and onions.   NightOwl says that she will take over the cornbread for tonight (none of that sweet yellow  up north  stuff, but nice savory white down home kind) and we even found a field near here with some pretty little cows grazin  so you can even have your buttermilk.    Angelsmom, can you milk a cow, or should we ask Birol to do it.   Maybe we should try to get plenty, so we can carry some with us when we leave here.    SLTrawick, hope you re getting ready for us, and when we pick you up and head for camperjones and co. we ll have to swing wide and head over for Gulf shores and see who may want to join up there.  Don t forget to have your favorite recipes ready to go, we have to keep our strength up for this kind of trip.   Hey, where is Leigh Ann?   Did I miss her when I started out?   ohoh, I should have veered right when I headed left, or something.   We can come back for you, honey, or you can meet us somewhere!   And Austin, will you have time from your real estate wheeler dealing to hit some hot spots with us?

birolWhat a night, what a night! (No, it isn t Rodney Dangerfield.) The MOAT almost got hung in a powerline.  As we traveled down the road, we went through a small tornado and the awning wasn t anchored down but luckily birol was able to grab hold of a couple of cast iron washpots and stablize the MOAT or else it would have been blown completely into the next state.  We reached our campground and wiininkwe was making friends with the cows. That big Bull....well I kept an eye on him as he looked like something out of those Spanish things of " Running of the Bull"  with the big horns.  I gave him the bale of hay out of the back of the trailer where I keep it in case there is a lot of rain or mud in the camping area.  The Bull had his supper and left us alone.  Those Indian Tacos are great and that white cornbread that NightOwl fixed was just great.  That fry bread is just great too.  With this great supply of buttermilk we are going to have, I have to figure out a way to keep it...Maybe one of those 5 day Extreme Cooler or Igloo Ulta Cold will do the job.  I don t know where we will be stopping to get ice for the next few days.  wiininkwe, since you have touched down and don t need the lawn mower blades any longer, I am going to need them to churn the butter in another vat.  We are going to need butter for our corn on the cob out of the farmer s field.

wiininkwe

birolOh yes, Corn On the Cob!!!!!  Right out of the field, too.   Just about the best thing we could have.   But I really think that someone should go over there and invite that nice farmer to our feast, as he s been going around and around the edge of the field on his tractor yelling about the fact that when he took his cows in to be milked, they were already dry.   You can gladly have the lawn mower motor, and we can use the blades to prop open the flaps on the MOAT so that it will be like a great big pavilion to keep us out of some of this rainy weather.   Do you think we could get the Chieftains to come and play for us, maybe some stuff from " Down the Plank Road" ?   We could do some real clogging (just watch out for the cow floppies in the field.)     Are we gonna have anything with that corn?   We could fill one of the big chili vats with coals and lay some railroad tracks across it and get a BBQ going, unless someone else has another idea.   And, as we were coming thru GA, I spotted a nice grove of peach trees, shook a few (?) off into the empty fry bread kettle and have got a batch of peach cobbler going.   We need some ice cream with that.   At one point, I could have sworn that I saw that beer truck coming up behind us, but it seemed to disappear.   BTW, have any of you noticed those crazy looking birds that keep flopping all around us?   Several of them seem to have the hiccups, and I m sure that I heard one belch very loudly.      I see that someone has started a wondeful campfire over there behind the moat, that must be the place to relax, better get my recliner out of the PU.
