I checked and it says " Tax Credit should be issued on August 8, 2003, if you qualify for it"
 
 What s that mean?  If I qualify for it.  DH used to make 3x the money I did and with him laid off AGAIN -- we can use all the $$$$ we can get.

 You only qualify for it if you have dependent children on your 2002 tax return.  Looks like you do.  I would look at it again in a few weeks.

If you filed on your 2002 income tax the child credit...then you will get the refund.  I had 2 children under the age of 17 that I claimed on the back portion (not exemptions) of the income tax form.
 So, tomorrow, I ll have mine mailed for 800.00.  YES!  Of course, it s already spent.   Going to pay off the credit card that I used to fix the popup when the cable broke (420.00) and all the school clothes I just bought for the kids.

Thanks for the fast replys, I can use the $$ for this weekend while camping in Lancaster!! Of course I will have to replenish my savings account  when I get back..as the check will not be here before I leave!

 Combine that with the fact that 2 of my 3 child support obligations are paid off, I may be upgrading next year.(New truck first, then camper.)[]

What is this all about???  Can someone explain it to me...did you have to claim the child tax credit on your 2002 tax return?? or is this some additional sort of tax relief they just came up with???

Debbie, It s another tax refund from President Bush in an attempt to help the economy (when people go out and spend them, getting money circulating again) sort of like the one we got in  99 except the one in  99 had a cap of two children, and this one doesn t appear to have a cap.
