 Or even this one...

Either one of these would serve both my passions... camping AND boating!  And when I hit the lottery, I might just buy one!  [8D]

campingboatersI don t think there will ever be a time that I would go to this extreme.  Just something about taking a vehicle made for the road and putting it on water -- then praying for no leaks[:@][:@]

campingboaters

campingboatersTell me about it... And paying a WOPPING $850,000 for that!

Turn Key

campingboatersIt just goes to prove that some people have more money then brains.

campingboatersThe travelwave makes more sense than the Terrawind. Better price too[&:] Saw one years ago where someone had taken a large Jon Boat and put a small TT on it, seemed to me the cheapest way to go[:D]
Specially if you got both of them used.[8D]

campingboatersMy aunt bought a pontoon boat and it has canvas to complete go around the awning and said if they wanted to they could even camp over night on it.  Well except for the campfire[&:][&:][&:][&:][&:]

campingboatersI guess that solves the age old RV or Boat debate?  We re having that one, but thankfully we already have the popup, and I don t really want a boat, so I keep holding out that he has to figure out how he s going to tow them both, safely and legally with one tow vehicle.  No brainstorms so far that I haven t been able to shoot down.

campingboatersI can imagine the legal disclaimers.

" Don t take out to sea.  Don t drive across rapids.  Don t take in a fast-moving river.  Don t use as an ice-breaker.  Don t use in high winds."

Some of the people who drive big class A s don t have class A brains.  I ll bet the lawyers are already gearing up.

" Hey, I didn t know there wouldn t be any diesel stations in the Atlantic! I ran out of fuel 150 miles from New York and was stranded for three days!"

IF I had the customers and IF I had the design, I still wouldn t make something like this.

 campingboatersstartx,
I guess we shouldn t bring up that I ve seen a trailer that you can tow a camper and a boat on.  The boat would go on and get raised with hydraulic lifts and then the camper would go on the bottom.  Granted, it cost somewhere around $10,000 for that setup, but then I guess you truely would have the best of both worlds and be able to tow it with one big honking truck!  [;)]

 Here you go!   http://www.builtrite.net/product_info.html

campingboatersBut wouldn t it be just a teensy bit fun to see the looks on people s faces when you drove down the boat launch ramp and then just drove out into the water in your class A motorhome?  I bet it d freak a few people out!!!  [;)][8D]

startx

campingboatersCampingboaters, I ve seen that trailer too, and the cost is way out of his budget, especially since it would also require a new tow vehicle.  Even if he does get around this hurdle, I have others to place in the way, so it s probably not going to happen.  I know it would be nice to get out on the water when camping, but I just don t want to deal with it all until the kids are a lot older.

Redwolf

campingboatersSo...they drive that monster RV/boat into the water, and then what?   " Oh, let s drive out to that island, Biff!"   " Righto, Babs!"   Can you see that beast lumbering up to the shore, and then getting stuck in the mud?   And then what?   You re out on an island!  No tow truck can come get your rich stupid butt off pulled out of the mud.

 What a moronic idea.
