RE: Home Coming!

Hit all!
 
 Some of you may know that I left in January for what became Operation Iraqi Freedom.  I was able to post seveal times while I was gone, once even from Iraq!  I was only able to read replies many weeks later but I really appreciated hearing from you all and knowing that your thoughts and prayers where with us.
 
 After 188 days that included a complete trip around the world I finally got home last night!  We can t wait to go camping!  Some of you may know that my unit flew east to Kuwait and then operated in Iraq for several weeks before being told we would spend 2 1/2 months continuing to travel east, returning on ships.  Our return trip was quite pleasant, we made two port calls in Australia (where I got to dive on the Great Barrier Reef!)  We then stopped in Pearl Harbor where I met my family.  Matthew and Ashley were able to join me on the ship for the trip from Hawaii to California (spouses and significant others are not permitted;-)).  
 
 I am very glad to be back and look forward to catching up with you all.

Was just thinking about you today as we drove west on I-10 past the turnoff to 29 Palms.  I m so-o-o-o-o glad you are safely home.  Coming camping in San Diego?

We were through that turnoff twice today, coming and going to Palm Springs!  We hope be in San Diego sometime in August.  We will likely stay at the Navy s campsite at Fiddlers Cove Marina.

We are so glad that you are back in the States, safe and sound!!  Thanks for the hardwork that you and the rest of our troops are doing overseas.  
 
 We missed you at the May 2003 Temecula rally.  We have another one happening October 17-19 at the same place.  Will you back in California by then?  If you can make it let us know.  We also have our own website now www.sccampers.org
