RE: Butterfly Campground..Jackson NJ????

Hi I m on a temp pass here right now getting ready to buy a membership. My question is has anyone ever camped at butterfly campground near Great Adventure??? We are going Aug 21st and I just wondered how it is?

 While I ve never been to Butterfly campground, I m ALWAYS leery of a place that has NO pictures of the campground or sites on their web page.  All I saw on their website is kids having " fun" .  I ve been to a couple places that were like that, but sounded great.  Turned out, they didn t have pictures on the web because they had something to hide.  Might not be the case with this place, but I would not want to try it out.  Of course, I tend not to go to places sight un-seen or without a review that I trust either.

We ve never stayed there but I seem to remember driving through with my DD and saying it was ok, sort of old fashioned and basic. Had signs for activities/dinners etc so I bet it has a lot of seasonals (which isn t necessarily bad). We prefer to stay at Turkey Swamp County Park cg in Freehold Twp. It s exit 22? off of 195 (6 Flags is exit 16) so it s about a 15 min ride. We were camping at Turkey Swamp over 4th of July and my 16yo met friends at 6 Flags on 2 different days. Turkey Swamp has fairly well spread out w/e sites (all pull throughs), lake with fishing and boat rentals, a nice playground and about a mile away at their group camping area, a nice pool.
