KellyI met MN Kelly!  We all caught up with each other at Lake Murray State Park in Oklahoma.  Kelly and her family just LOVED the 100+ degree weather!  At least we had water s edge sites and spent most of the weekend in the water.  Kelly is wonderful, her husband a sweetie, and the kids all had a blast together.

Much fun was had by all.  Sounds like Kelly is due back home on Thursday, after 3 weeks on the road with 4 kids.  God bless her soul - she still had a wicked sense of humor!

Next year lets do it in cooler weather!!

KellyWelcome home whenever you get here Kelly!  Hope you guys had a great time. But now I m sure you have a better understanding of why I moved here from Texas!  Hope the rest of the trip is going ok and can t wait to hear all about it.

We had a great time!  Loved meeting TX Kelly and her family...and really enjoyed the blue margaritas ... thanks to trlrboy for the wonderful recipe!!  They sure went down nicely in that TX heat.  (btw ~ the KS heat was far worse than Texas!)

The second big adventure of the trip happened just before we hooked up with Kelly ... we were cruising down I-40 and ds says " dad, it feels wobbly back here."   DH looks at the trailer ~ looks good ~ tells ds not to worry.  Two minutes later BANG ... there goes the right rear wheel OFF the Suburban.  Down the ditch, bounces off a fence, back up the ditch, across two lanes of traffic, throught the median, across two more lanes of traffic, only to be lost in the other ditch!!!  Quite the fireworks show as we traveled across both lanes of the freeway before coming to a rest on the shoulder.  YIKES!

Four hours later we finally made it to a hotel.  The tow driver pulled some strings with the dealer and we were back on the road by noon the next day.  Fortunately (amazingly) the only damage to the TV was the wheel and the brakes ... no frame or axle damage.

Full report to follow ~ just got home and I need to do some laundry and get some sleep!  Good to be back.[/font]

How come we always discount what our kids say?  We do that same thing, then when you hear the " crunch,"  you holler at them for not telling you, or being louder or more insistent when they tell you.

KellyKelly-- glad you are back safe, sound, and in (relatively speaking) one piece. [:o]

We missed you at Yosemite this last weekend.... would that it were possible you could have made it. Hey, there s already talk about a repeat rally next year at the same location. Mark it on your calender--- that s an NNC order. [;)]
