 Has anyone been to Frisco Woods Campground? I would like to camp at Ocean Waves August 20-23 except they are full with a 30 person waiting list. I have considered Frisco Woods, although  I have not seen any comments on this campground.  Any help would be appreciated.

 Thanks,

 DayCareMomI ve been there, and frankly speaking, NOT impressed! However, if you gotta have some place to go, this may be ok. The alternative would be Camp Hatteras, which is nicer in many ways, but has no tree s and cost a lot more. KOA may be an acceptable alternative too, but I ve never been in the campground itself, but can see into it from Camp Hatteras. Again, little or no tree s. But that s pretty much the norm down there...

 I ve got a couple of pictures from Frisco Woods that I took a few years back buried on my racing site, the are as follows...

 [link=http://www.victory-ln.com/camping/frisco1.jpg]Primary FHU Sites, canal front[/link] Note: very close together!

 [link=http://www.victory-ln.com/camping/frisco2.jpg]More FHU sites along the canal[/link]

 [link=http://www.victory-ln.com/camping/frisco3.jpg]Sound front Water & Electric Sites[/link]

 [link=http://www.victory-ln.com/camping/frisco4.jpg]Basic/Rustic sites along sound front (to the left), nice wooded site s in the tree s but no hook-up s[/link]

 Hope this helps!!!

 DayCareMomwe stayed there 2 years ago over 4th July.  Had a tight but very pretty site right on the Sound.  This was great for us, but I do not think I would have been as happy at sites not on the canal or Sound.  Bathhouse was okay and pool was nice diversion for the kids.  We were off at the beach, lighthouse, Okracoke Island (sp!), etc so did not spend alot of time sitting at camp.  It was fine when we were there,  but, again, it was tight with a coleman Utah, but very pretty on the Sound.  I would stay there again if I could have a water site, as close as possible to the sound.
